Scumfucks is one of the bands set to perform at the upcoming Angels Summer Fest Vol. 1, which will take place in just a few days at Temple. That alone was reason enough for Myth of Rock to reach out to the band for a brief but engaging interview. Much like their music—loud, raw, and unapologetically dirty—their answers were short, sharp, and straight to the point!

When, where, by whom and under which circumstances was Scumfucks formed?
Scumfucks formed in 2016 when we were jamming in our personal studio by Goulthor (guitars, vocals), Morgoth(drums) and Dim (bass). Jim Sermon (guitars) joined the band in 2018. In 2020 Dim left the band due to personal reasons and Sargon took his place.
Are you a Motörhead tribute band or do you have your own material, in the style of Motörhead?
We are not a tribute band. We have our own music.
Which is your favorite Motörhead album and why?
Two of us “Overkill” and the other two “Iron Fist” because they’re great.
Why did you name the band Scumfucks?
The name was chosen because of some situations in our personal and music life.
Can you give us all the info about your official releases until now?
We released our first album in 2023. We are now working on our second one.
Where do the lyrics of your songs refer to?
Most of them are inspired by real facts that we lived.
Who is responsible for “music and lyrics” in Scumfucks?
All members contribute to the creation of the songs.
Have you written any new songs? If yes, how do they sound? When should we expect your next release?
Yes. We have ten songs for our second album and they are in the same style of heavy-rock’n’roll. Hopefully it will be ready by the end of 2025.
How much important is this band and rock n’ roll music in general for you?
Music is our life. We cannot do without it.
Which are your goals for Scumfucks?
Make music, share it with the world and have a good time all together, which means playing as many live shows as possible, everywhere.
How do you see things for rock/metal music in Greece?
There are good bands here in Greece. The sad thing is that they don’t have the opportunity to show their work to the world.
What do you think about the use of AI in music?
No good. Music comes from the soul. It must be real.
Which is your motto in life?
No one.Do you play live shows? How do you sound live?
Yes we play. Let the people answer this.
You are going to play in Angels Summer Fest in a few days. How do you feel about that? What should we expect from you?
We feel good. We wanted to go to Athens to play live and now is the time. You should expect energy, party and dance.
