Danish progressive metallers Iotunn (giant in ancient Scandinavian) have just released their second full length album titled “Kinship”. It’s a mythological, one-hour journey through time and space rock. This creation of Iotunn explores themes of nature and our connection to it, making for a very interesting topic for an album. Although the tracks surpass the 5-6 minute timestamp, they are interesting and intricate, with riffs that are heavy yet beautifully interwoven. Every track feels like an adventure, very different yet a continuation. The musicianship of Iotunn’s members is outstanding and evident all across the album. “Kinship” is for sure an album worth a listen and Iotunn have solidified their presence even more in the progressive scene.
