German power metal warriors Warkings have announced their split with guitarist and founding member Markus Pohl, better known to fans as The Crusader.
The group stated: “Sometimes, even in eternal life, things come to an end. Today, a chapter closes in the saga of the WARKINGS. After countless battles fought across festivals and tours, the Crusader lays down his banner and rides toward a different destiny. As all great warriors know, destiny is a road that sometimes leads in different directions. And while his journey now continues elsewhere, he leaves with our deepest respect and eternal brotherhood. We honor the battles we fought together. We honor the memories we forged together. And above all, we honor the warrior himself.
“The Crusader may leave the ranks of the WARKINGS, but no sword can sever the bonds forged in war. Brother, wherever your path may lead, may your banner fly high, your battles be glorious, and your name be remembered through the ages. Raise your horns one final time for the Crusader. His watch with the WARKINGS has ended.”
