Dreamlord: Greek thrash metal needs no introductions. It needs bands with riffs, intensity and songs that win you over from the very first minute. Dreamlord have all of that, and much more. Since 2010, the Athens-based thrashers have been steadily building their name, firmly rooted in their major American influences but never limited by them. Their debut album, “Disciples Of War”, put them firmly on the map, while their recent release, “Artificial Imprisonment”, confirmed that they are a band with a clear identity and substance. Their love for classic Bay Area thrash metal is certainly evident, but their compositions also have depth, dynamic changes and the right balance between aggression and melody. At the same time, their lyrics tackle contemporary issues, from artificial intelligence to the invisible forms of control that shape our everyday lives. Dreamlord will open the second day of Rock Hard Festival Greece, exactly as a festival dedicated to heavy metal should begin: loud, fast and without unnecessary introductions. One of the most noteworthy names in the contemporary Greek thrash metal scene will take the stage at Technopolis, ready to warm up the crowd from the very first minutes.
Frank Blackfire (Best of Sodom & Kreator set): Frank Blackfire, the man whose signature can be found on some of the most important thrash metal albums of all time, is coming to Rock Hard Festival Greece for a special performance … Sodom and Kreator. “Agent Orange” and “Coma of Souls”. Two names, two legendary albums, countless riffs that shaped an entire scene. And Frank Blackfire was one of the songwriters behind these classic records. In Athens, he will bring them back to life with a set dedicated to the most explosive period of German thrash metal. In the late ’80s, his guitar helped define the sound of Sodom on two albums that remain undisputed classics: “Persecution Mania” and “Agent Orange”. Razor-sharp riffs, speed without unnecessary moves, and a sense of absolute control within the chaos. When he joined Kreator in 1989, he continued to make history. His contribution to “Coma of Souls” stands among the finest chapters in the history of European thrash metal, while “Renewal” and “Cause for Conflict” proved that he was also willing to experiment and evolve. Few musicians can claim to have played a decisive role in both of Germany’s most important thrash metal bands. Frank Blackfire is one of them. After years of personal exploration, his own bands and relentless creative work, he returned to Sodom in 2018, back where it all began. His presence in the band’s modern chapter confirms what fans have always known: some bonds can never be broken. In Athens, Frank Blackfire will present a set specially created for fans of classic thrash metal. Anthems, songs that defined a generation, performed by the man who helped write them. For those who wore out their copies of “Agent Orange” and “Coma of Souls”, this is a rare opportunity. For younger fans, it is the perfect history lesson — at ear-splitting volume.
Blaze Bayley (Iron Maiden anniversary): Rock Hard Festival Greece presents Blaze Bayley! Bayley arrives carrying with him a chapter of Iron Maiden history that, for some, represented the most controversial choice in the band’s history, while for others, it was the voice of a dark, distinctive and underrated era. For everyone, however, he remains an integral part of their legacy. From 1994 to 1999, Bayley stood at the forefront of a band that needed a vocalist capable of carrying the weight of a legend. The result was two albums that, over the years, earned the recognition they deserved: “The X Factor” and “Virtual XI”. Different, daring records that proved far more influential than they were initially given credit for. In April 2026, the story came full circle once again when Iron Maiden were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, with Blaze rightfully being part of this honor. It was a moment that confirmed that his contribution to the band’s journey remains indelible. His career, of course, never stopped there. From his days with Wolfsbane to his long-running and remarkably consistent solo career, Blaze has evolved into one of the hardest-working and most authentic artists in the scene. Decades of touring, fourteen studio albums and a relationship with his audience that remains almost like a family. At Rock Hard Festival Greece, Blaze Bayley will perform an exclusive Iron Maiden anniversary set dedicated entirely to his years with the legendary band. Songs from “The X Factor” and “Virtual XI”, selections from “Best Of The Beast”, and the opportunity to experience a piece of history live, rarely presented in this form. This is a night that will remain etched in our memories, thanks to one of the most honest and passionate artists out there!
Dirkschneider (special best of Accept): One of the most recognizable voices in heavy metal will take the stage at this year’s Rock Hard Festival Greece, as Udo Dirkschneider will perform with Dirkschneider in a very special show built around the legendary songs he recorded with Accept. Udo Dirkschneider has built a career spanning nearly five decades, establishing himself as one of the most distinctive and recognizable vocalists in the history of heavy metal. His rough, gritty, “broken” voice and unique style played a crucial role in shaping the sound of Accept during their early years and made him a central figure in the rise of European heavy metal in the late ’70s and early ’80s. With his commanding stage presence and ability to turn simple melodies into massive singalongs, he became synonymous with some of the band’s most iconic songs. Accept emerged from the German rock scene in the late ’60s and went on to become one of the most influential metal bands of their generation. During the years with Dirkschneider on vocals, they released a series of landmark albums that established them worldwide. “Balls to the Wall” (1983) remains their most commercially successful release and features the title track, one of heavy metal’s most enduring anthems. Albums such as “Restless and Wild” and “Metal Heart” further strengthened their legacy, influencing generations of musicians. Dirkschneider left Accept in 1987 and formed his own band, U.D.O., which went on to become a successful and independent force. Throughout this journey, he continued to build an impressive discography, proving that his vocal and songwriting abilities remained as strong as ever. Over the decades, he has released numerous albums while maintaining a loyal audience around the world. For this special performance, Dirkschneider will be joined by his son, Sven Dirkschneider, who has been a permanent member of the band since 2015, as well as legendary Accept bassist Peter Baltes, further strengthening the connection to the band’s golden era. Together, they will deliver a set packed with the anthems that established Dirkschneider as one of the most iconic voices in heavy metal.
Angra (“Holy Land” 30th – feat. Kiko Loureiro): One of the most distinctive moments of Rock Hard Festival Greece 2026 will undoubtedly be the return of Brazilian power metal pioneers Angra, who will perform in Athens for a special anniversary show dedicated to one of the most influential albums in the history of melodic metal. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of their iconic album “Holy Land” (1996), the band will perform the record in its entirety, along with a selection of classic songs from their career. Making the occasion even more historic is the temporary reunion with guitarist Kiko Loureiro, one of the most important musicians in the metal scene and a member of Megadeth for nearly a decade. Rock Hard Festival Greece appearance will be one of only two European shows celebrating the anniversary of “Holy Land”, making it an exceptionally rare opportunity for European audiences. Angra were formed in 1991 in São Paulo by guitarist Rafael Bittencourt and vocalist Andre Matos, and quickly established themselves as one of the most distinctive bands in melodic heavy metal. Combining the technical precision of European power metal with Brazilian rhythms, orchestral elements and classical influences, they created a sound that stood apart from the genre’s conventions. Their debut album, “Angels Cry” (1993), introduced them to audiences, but it was “Holy Land” that propelled them to new artistic heights. Released in 1996, “Holy Land” is widely regarded as the band’s magnum opus and one of the most ambitious albums in power metal history. The album explores the discovery of Brazil in the 16th century, blending heavy metal with tribal rhythms, choirs, symphonic arrangements and classical elements. Produced by Sascha Paeth and Charlie Bauerfeind, it achieved international success and remains a landmark release for fans of power, progressive and symphonic metal. In Greece, “Holy Land” holds an especially important place in the hearts of metal fans. During the ’90s, it was one of the most beloved and widely discussed albums in the country for an entire generation. Angra’s first appearance in Greece, as part of the Holy World Tour in May 1997, remains to this day one of the most historic concerts ever held in the country. Almost three decades later, this special connection will be revived in a way few could have imagined. For this anniversary performance, Angra will take the stage with a powerful lineup featuring Rafael Bittencourt, Felipe Andreoli, Bruno Valverde and Marcelo Barbosa. On vocals will be Alirio Netto, also known for his participation in the official Queen tribute project Queen Extravaganza, under the direction of Roger Taylor. The concert will also carry a deeply emotional character, as it will pay tribute to the late Andre Matos, whose voice defined the band’s journey and continues to serve as a reference point for the international metal community. For Rock Hard Festival Greece, hosting such a rare and historic performance is both an honor and a milestone. For the audience, it will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience — a unique opportunity to witness one of metal’s most visionary albums exactly as it was meant to be experienced: live, powerful and unforgettable.
