Pyramid is an international all-star project and “Rage” is the project’s new album, which features many famous musicians like Tim “Ripper” Owens and Harry “The Tyrant” Conklin. “Rage” is my first encounter with this supergroup and I must say that I am amazed! If you are looking for fine, top notch power/progressive metal, you have to make a stop here. Pyramid offers us a brilliant piece of metal music, which encompasses technique, melody and feeling. That’s a difficult task and Pyramid pass the exam with the best mark! Pyramid’s trademarks are the superb melodies, the thrilling song structures and the impeccable performances. The content of the album is very deep – once you show trust and taste the songs of “Rage”, you will get lost in a labyrinth. I don’t know whether you will find the way out, however, you will discover the inmost secrets of an enchanting metal opus. Of course, Owens and Conklin’s vocals are breathtaking – they sing their lungs out and give character to the album. It is also impossible to overlook the brilliant guitar and keyboard solos! Take into account all the beautiful melodies, the impressive performances and the intricate song arrangements and you will understand that “Rage” is a masterpiece, ideal for everyone that wants finesse in metal. Pyramid is a silent force and “Rage” is the strongest proof of that!
