“Loud Minority” by Jacks Full is the third full-length album from the Athens-based power trio, and quite possibly the new favorite for heavy rock lovers everywhere!
Six years after the release of “Whatever” (self-released, 2019), and now teaming up with independent label Ouga Booga and the Mighty Oug, Jacks Full return with their signature heavy/blues rock style that’s “extra” in every way — more bluesy, even heavier, without losing a hint of groove or catchy hooks. It’s technical and modern, yet proudly honors its smoky, old-school roots.
The band took shape in 2014 in Athens, formed by Nikos Spathas (guitar/vocals), Michalis Apartoglou (bass/vocals), and Angelos Tanis (drums). Their sound radiates authenticity, explosive energy, and a vintage aesthetic, blending the ’70s hard rock spirit with the 2000s American heavy rock vibe — delivering guitar riffs that could easily echo across any Californian live stage.
Their self-titled debut, “Jacks Full” (self-released, 2015), was embraced by fans and critics alike, earning the title of “Album of the Month” from Metal Hammer Greece. Throughout their journey, they’ve performed on the stages of some of the biggest venues in Greece, played numerous shows and tours across Europe and the Balkans, and appeared at festivals such as Mammothfest, Krokos Open Air Festival, Station Street Festival, Rockwave Festival, and more — sharing the stage with legendary names like Judas Priest, Saxon, Accept, and Planet of Zeus.
In early October, Jacks Full released the first single and music video from “Loud Minority”, titled “Black Sheep”, directed and edited by Gerasimos Kolaitis. It’s a truly fitting forerunner — a perfect introduction to what was about to follow just a month later.
On Thursday, November 6, the band unveiled their new work in its entirety: a nine-track album bearing their unmistakable signature sound. The recordings took place at Eightyard Studios, produced by Christos Vlachos, with Steve Lado handling the mastering, and the artwork created by Jnk2007.
