GRAMERCY ARMS – “THE MAKING OF THE MAKING OF” (2024, MAGIC DOOR)

by MythofRock

New York City’s music collective Gramercy Arms is releasing its new, fourth album. “The Making Of The Making Of” is a great, fabulous blend of indie rock, power pop and acoustic melodies. Meticulously crafted, brilliantly arranged, performed with energy and passion and produced with grace and vision, this album is a flawless, warm, deep and heartfelt testimony of some musicians, whose sophisticated, endearing music endeavor shall bring us joy and peace. It’s a collection of exhilarating tunes, feel-good tracks, which will make you feel whole and relaxed, which will bring you a melancholic nostalgia, a big smile on your face! I am not a fan of pop music, however, these hook-laden melodies put a spell on me and linger in my mind for all these days! It is a heavenly music offering, a palette of elegiac sounds. This band knows how to write listen worthy albums, how to pen down little happy hits. Gramercy Arms remind me of The Beatles, of The Eagles, of Tom Petty and so many other pop/rock icons of the 60s, the 70s and the 80s. They don’t rip other artists, they have their own music way and character, which guides you to unforgettable songs like “After the After Party”, “Susan”, “The Long Game” and “Don’t Respond, She Can Tell”. If you want a record to speak to your heart and give you good vibes, then you should pick this album and listen to it again, and again. It has so many nice, bittersweet music stories to narrate!
