Swedish goth metal giants Tribulation have recently released their sixth studio album, titled “Sub Rosa In Æternum”. We clearly can see Tribulation’s evolution through the records on this album. With beautifully haunting goth edges to rock and death influences, this album has it all. British goth has definitely shaped the overall sound and given them a headstart influence. My personal favourite is “Drink the Love of God” with a post punk feeling, a fast track that perfectly captures the band’s essence. The lead single from the album is “Saturn Coming Down”, a dark rock anthem that combines melancholy with rock roots, metal riffing and a well-crafted melody. “Sub Rosa in Æternum” surely opens the door for new fans to explore the music of the Swedish quartet and is sure to be a must in your playlist, if you love goth and dark influences.
