The Yets are ready to release their new album, “Pinup Girl”, and are now offering us a preview, the single ”Define The Man”. In “Define The Man” we hear all the things that we have loved in The Yets. The alternative rock band from South Carolina continues to create emotional, atmospheric, melancholic and nostalgic music, paired with interesting, esoteric lyrics about life and humanity. The duo of guitarist Craig Anderson Snook and singer Robin Wilson has the capability of writing songs, which are both fresh and vintage, songs, which incorporate new wave sounds, classic rock and art rock elements. Here we have on the one side, Siouxsie and the Banshees and on the other side, ‘80s Pink Floyd! “Define the Man” is characterized by the clean, heartfelt, dynamic guitar chords and the sweet, fragile, rich vocals, all mixed brilliantly, all following catchy melodies and an irresistible beat. We should also pay attention to the poetic lyrics and the masterful sound production – all these factors have a superb result, a song so romantic and tuneful, which is warming us up for what will follow with the full album! This new song from The Yets is pretty and playful and I think that it won’t be easy enough to wait for the “Pinup Girl” album! We have to be patient until February 2025 – “Define the Man” will keep us good company during these cold days and nights of winter!
