Guitarist Jeff Loomis and drummer Van Williams are hinting at the revival of the iconic band, Nevermore.
At Friday, December 27, Jeff Loomis and Van Williams unveiled a one-minute teaser video featuring an array of NEVERMORE-related visuals. The clip includes what seem to be silhouettes of the two musicians, accompanied by the phrase “Resurrecting The Dream”. It concludes with the iconic NEVERMORE logo, the statement “A New Chapter Rises” and the year “2025”.
NEVERMORE essentially disbanded in 2011 when Jeff Loomis and Van Williams parted ways with the group, citing personal differences with vocalist Warrel Dane and bassist Jim Sheppard. In a later interview, Warrel referred to NEVERMORE as “the greatest band that alcohol ever ruined”.
Warrel Dane passed away in December 2017 in São Paulo, Brazil, at the age of 56 while working on his solo album, “Shadow Work“, which was released posthumously. Reports indicate that he suffered a fatal heart attack during the night and could not be revived.
