SINNER frontman Mat Sinner confirms band’s farewell in 2026 – “The last one turns off the lights”.

Mat Sinner has checked in with the following message: “I will record a new Sinner album soon with a lot of wonderful boys & girls backing me in the studio and release the best Sinner album we can imagine. Songs are ready and are coming out crushing. Never say never but I will dedicate the last years of my musical career to Primal Fear. Let’s make the last Sinner album a special one that will make all my long time supporters happy and let’s celebrate this unbelievable journey together! I will post some more exciting news about this new album next week. The last one turns off the lights!.
Boom, Bang, Goodbye ❤️ “.

Sinner was founded by Mat Sinner back in 1982, and the band has since put out 20 studio albums. Their most recent release, “Brotherhood”, arrived in July 2022.

On May 9 2025, the revamped Primal Fear lineup — Ralf Scheepers (vocals), Mat Sinner (bass), Magnus Karlsson (guitar), Thalìa Bellazecca (guitar) and André Hilgers (drums) — hit the stage for the first time at Rock In Rautheim 2025 in Braunschweig, Germany. The concert was especially meaningful, as it also marked co-founder and bassist Mat Sinner’s return to live performance after five years away due to serious health problems.
