SENSES, OOPS!E DAISY, ROSEBLADES – TEMPLE, ATHENS, GREECE – 15/03/2025

by MythofRock

When I listened to the debut album of Senses, titled “Out of Line”, I was super excited. Senses had managed to offer us a genuine, fresh, and powerful melodic hard rock/metal album, influenced and inspired by the golden ’80s. In addition to that, I had recently enjoyed the explosive live performance of the all-female pop/rock band Oops!e Daisy, and I had read the best things about RoseBlades, a hard rock/heavy metal band consisting of some really talented young musicians. So, the news of the live presentation of Senses’ album at Temple, with Oops!e Daisy and RoseBlades as special guests, brought enthusiasm to the ranks of Myth of Rock, which couldn’t miss this live event by any means!

Some minutes past eight o’clock, we were already at Temple, had found a nice spot in the front row, and were waiting for the first band of the evening. This band was RoseBlades, who entered the stage furiously, playing a loud, unpretentious cover of “Shout at the Devil” by Mötley Crüe. Their passion was unparalleled, they were in a great mood and they played their set with raw enthusiasm. The guys performed some other covers too, plus their own material – their first songs sound nice, blending the power and melody of classic heavy metal with the noise and nerve of rock ‘n’ roll and punk rock. The deafening drums and the deep bass built a solid rhythm section, on which the guitar phrases gave a gritty edge to the sonic result, and the vocals soared in the air. RoseBlades have the talent and the quality to do great things in the future – they just have to keep up the hard work!

Then, the event continued with Oops!e Daisy. The girls took their positions on stage and began their charming set, which consisted of covers and the hit “Other Side of Heaven,” their first song, composed by the renowned Bob Katsionis. It is true that these girls know how to rock, and they proved that again at Temple. When they play together, they have a sense of groove and a rare finesse that no other can beat. The quintet covered classic pop/rock songs, but they didn’t hesitate to perform “Paranoid” (Black Sabbath) and “Enter Sandman” (Metallica), showing everybody their wide range of influences. The singer sang beautifully, the strong and tight rhythm section impressed the fans and the guitarist played with precision. The audience had a really great time with Oops!e Daisy – in my opinion, the band’s decision to combine pop, rock and metal covers in their program will be the key to their success! Of course, they must work on their own songs and form their own style, but for sure, the future belongs to them!

And as the minutes passed by, we welcomed the headliners on stage, who stormed onto the floor with one mission – to present their fantastic debut album and make us have fun! Without a doubt, they did that perfectly, drawing us into their melodic hard rock/metal world and transporting us to the mythic era of the eighties. “Out of Line” was a true blast, and Senses brilliantly played it in its entirety, bringing euphoria to all who attended the concert. The guys set the venue on fire with their rhythm, riffs and melodies, shaking the ground with all the gorgeous songs of “Out of Line”! Their set began and ended in the same way, with the great hit of the band, the amazing “Silent Disco”, a song with a refrain that still lingers in our minds. The singer sang the demanding songs wonderfully – the other protagonists were the fiery guitars and the wild drums and bass. Senses gave a wonderful show, also performing some excellent covers – “Separate Ways” (Journey), “Dirty Diana” (Michael Jackson), “I Might Lie” (Andy Taylor). I didn’t find any flaw in their set – on the contrary, it was a real rock/metal party, with the band members having the time of their lives and the attendees swaying and dancing! This night, Temple was a paradise full of melodies, groove and passion, all set by Senses!

The whole event was successful and gave us a few hours of phenomenal joy. Senses and their songs were the heroes of the night, but RoseBlades and Oops!e Daisy also did a miraculous job. We will remember this for a long time!
