ROSE ALAIMO – “A PLACE TO GO WHEN YOU NEED TO HIDE” (2024, SELF-RELEASED)

by MythofRock

American indie pop-rock artist Rose Alaimo presents her new, third album, titled “A Place To Go When You Need To Hide”, and we are so thankful to her for this unique collection of new songs. Emotive, emotional, bright and sincere, these songs are here to make us feel, to make us dream and travel to distant places. Alaimo’s new installment is a work of heart, a work of light through darkness and melancholy, a balanced ride through ballads (for example “Stars”) and more up-tempo compositions (for example “Power Lines”), which show her fine musicianship and prowess as a songwriter. It’s the first time I come across a release of Alaimo and frankly, I feel so much grateful, because she has composed exceptional indie pop-rock songs, which reverberate in the mind for long, since you show your trust to Alaimo. Sonic highs and lows, twists and changes, everything in “A Place To Go When You Need To Hide” is made for our true pleasure and bliss. Honestly, listening to this album is cathartic, a way to reach self-awareness and self-enlightenment. Alaimo’s artistry is magnificent and welcomes us to a realm of evocative, moody and dreamy soundscapes. “A Place To Go When You Need To Hide” is the perfect album to listen when you need to travel far away from your daily routine and ordinary life program! Rose Alaimo has made an album, which should not be missed by any serious listener.
