Rage is one of the most admired bands of German metal and their releases drag the attention of metalheads worldwide. Now they unveil a new album, called “A New World Rising”, which is the work of Peter “Peavy” Wagner of course, Vassilios “Lucky” Maniatopoulos (drums) and Jean Borman (guitars). This new Rage album came as a surprise to me! “A New World Rising” has everything a Rage fan wants! Everything we liked in Rage is here: massive riffs, fantastic melodies, fast rhythms and the signature vocals of Peavy! First of all, it is a very heavy album, yet it is so melodic and hooky – it has so many fresh, interesting compositional ideas, which stick in your mind and you cannot let them go! One song is better than the other, I am sure it will be difficult for you to select your favorite number, since every track’s delicate and top-notch! It is a melo speed/thrash metal album, which will drive you crazy! Without a single doubt, Peavy is in a very good shape, singing and playing the bass like a maniac! The Rage fans will be super-satisfied with this new release. All other headbangers will find another, good reason to spend their time with Rage! I know that this album won’t save heavy metal, but Rage don’t come as saviors but as a band, which serves heavy metal and keeps the listener good company. I didn’t expect from Rage to give us such a good new album, but yes, they did! Surely, that’s a great head-banging record!
