Pink Turns Blue, the famous post-punk/dark wave band from Berlin, Germany, is now releasing a new single off its upcoming full-length album. Under the title “Black Swan (But I Know There Is More to Life)”, this song is the only ballad on the album, but it is a great one! The melancholic beauty of Pink Turns Blue shines so brightly here. It is a shimmering, shivering ode to life, life goals, and love. This lyrical composition begins with a simple keyboard line and has an epic progression, an adventurous build-up—so haunting, so dramatic, full of emotions! The melody is catchy, so beautiful and infectious, it makes the song a fantastic low-tempo expression of every member of the band. Mic Jogwer (vocals, guitar), Paul Richter (drums), and Luca Sammuri (bass) have crafted a poetic, ethereal, and sentimental track, which speaks to the listener, stimulating senses and igniting passion. We see the mellow, more sensitive, and sentimental side of Pink Turns Blue here, which is so interesting and has things to offer. Especially the guitar licks at the end of the song send shivers down my spine. If this is a preview of the album, I am sure that Pink Turns Blue will release a masterpiece!
