Agustín Nevaris, the well-respected percussionist and composer, has released another single from the “SoundSession” EP, called “Remedy – Live”. This track, recorded live at Orange Studios almost three years ago, captures the beauty of musicians simply playing together in the same room, without tricks, overdubs, edits or second chances. You can feel that immediacy from the very first seconds. The groove is deep and hypnotic. Built on a strong bass foundation inspired by Bill Laswell, the track slowly unfolds into a rich mix of dub, jazz and Afro-Latin rhythms. It doesn’t rush anywhere. Instead, it breathes. Each instrument has space to exist, creating a layered but very natural sound. You can tell that these musicians know each other well. The transitions feel smooth, almost telepathic. The percussion drives the track forward, while subtle keys and saxophone lines add color and atmosphere. There’s also a strong dub influence in the way the sound expands and echoes, giving it a slightly psychedelic edge. Another important element is the energy of the live recording. You can almost picture the room, the musicians reacting to each other in real time. That human connection is something many modern recordings miss, and it makes this track feel alive. At times, “Remedy – Live” feels meditative, almost like a slow journey inward. But it never becomes boring. Small details keep appearing—tiny rhythmic changes, background textures, unexpected accents. In my opinion, this is a perfect example of how powerful simple ideas can be when executed with skill and feeling. It’s not about complexity—it’s about vibe, chemistry and honesty. And “Remedy – Live” delivers all three effortlessly.
