At 10:15 p.m. approximately Enemy Of Reality ascended the stage. The crowd erupted into cheers, as a journey into a world of myth, drama and power was about to begin. The opening song, “Downfall”, set the tone masterfully. A thunderous track, it was elevated by the theatrical components that Enemy Of Reality have now fully embraced as part of their identity. The stage became a ritual ground as a priest-like figure and a goat-masked character performed, immersing the audience in the narrative.

Enemy Of Reality have always been known for their fusion of operatic grandeur and metal intensity, but this performance marked a high level of ambition. It was a super-production that Greek metal had yet to witness until now. The band’s setlist drew across their entire discography, giving fans great moments of enthusiasm. Each song was delivered with attention to detail, and each transition from track to track was smooth.

A standout moment arrived with “The Vineyard Song”, an already evocative piece in studio. Actors moved gracefully alongside the band, merging music and movement into a unified emotional expression. The atmosphere was otherworldly—part ancient tragedy, part avant-garde theatre, part metal epic.

The band then launched into “Baptised in Fire,” a number that filled the entire venue with energy. The visual element again played a central role: towering statues, symbolic guardians or effigies of forgotten gods adorned the stage. The choreography, the lighting and the music turned the venue into an opera house!

Enemy Of Reality proved once again why they are among the most important acts in the national metal scene. The sound was crystal clear and powerful, with every instrument finding its space in the mix. And then, there was Iliana Tsakiraki. Her voice is a phenomenon—an instrument of emotion and force, with which she commanded us with ease. Her magnetic presence made her the centre of our attention.

An emotional point in the evening came with “Tin Patrida M’ Ehasa”, dedicated to the memory of the Pontian genocide. It was a reminder that Enemy Of Reality are also storytellers with heart and historical consciousness.

This concert was a landmark moment for the band and Greek metal as a whole. Enemy Of Reality delivered a phenomenal show, their fusion of dark symphonic metal with theatrical performance, dance and visual art has helped the band set the bar high! Iliana Tsakiraki, Steelianos Amoirides and the other guys are blazing new trails!
