SOILWORK: DISCLOSE NEW SINGLE

by MythofRock

Swedish melodic death metal veterans SOILWORK have unveiled a brand-new single, “Night Whispers & Shining Lights”, marking the culmination of an extraordinary year celebrating the band’s 30th anniversary.

The single arrives as SOILWORK continue their massive European tour alongside AMON AMARTH and ORBIT CULTURE.

Combining SOILWORK’s trademark razor-sharp riffs, soaring melodies, and epic choruses, “Night Whispers & Shining Lights” showcases the Swedish icons’ undiminished power and unmistakable sound, proving that their genre-defining energy remains as strong as ever after three decades.

Frontman Björn “Speed” Strid comments: “‘Night Whispers & Shining Lights’ is a hidden gem that’s been brewing in the vaults for a couple of years but celebrates our 30th anniversary and the embarkation of our tour with AMON AMARTH and ORBIT CULTURE in a grand way. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do! See you on stage soon”.

Originally founded in late 1995 under the name INFERIOR BREED, the band adopted the name SOILWORK in 1996. Hailing from Helsingborg, Sweden, they soon established their own identity in the metal scene, combining the core elements of Swedish melodic death metal with powerful groove-driven riffs and soaring melodies.

To celebrate their 30th anniversary, Björn Strid and his bandmates have been looking back on their remarkable career throughout 2026. Each month, they have revisited two albums from their extensive discography, sharing previously unseen studio footage, rare archival material, and personal behind-the-scenes stories with fans around the world.

“Night Whispers & Shining Lights” celebrates SOILWORK’s remarkable legacy while delivering a powerful statement of intent for the future.

SOILWORK is:

Björn “Speed” Strid – vocals
Simon Johansson – guitars
Sven Karlsson – keyboards
Sylvain Coudret – guitars
