Shinedown has unveiled “Outlaw”, the newest single from their much-anticipated eighth studio album, “Ei8ht”, which is set for release on May 29 through Atlantic Records.
The release follows another major milestone for Shinedown, who were named “Rock Artist Of The Year” at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on March 26. It marks their second consecutive win in the category, further solidifying their position as one of the most dominant acts in modern music.
After receiving the award, the band celebrated on the red carpet and expressed their gratitude to fans across social media: “Rock artist of the year… two years in a row?!! THANK YOU iHeartRadio THANK YOU SHINEDOWN NATION. Thank you everyone. We are so incredibly grateful and proud of this band, of this community, of this team… MUCH LOVE”.
“Outlaw” extends a remarkable streak for Shinedown, arriving after a run of chart-topping tracks such as “Dance, Kid, Dance”, “Killing Fields”, “Three Six Five”, their latest No. 1 hit “Searchlight” and the recently released “Safe And Sound”. Rooted in a gritty, roots-inspired sound, the song channels a raw, open-road spirit — blending the band’s trademark intensity with a more organic, stripped-down approach that broadens the sonic landscape of Ei8ht while keeping its sharp edge intact.
The recent success of “Searchlight” marked another major milestone for Shinedown, reaching No. 1 on both Mediabase Active Rock (their 24th chart-topper) and Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay (their 22nd No. 1), further extending their all-time records on both charts.
To celebrate the new music, Shinedown will hit the road for their massive “Dance Kid Dance Act II” world tour, covering North America, Europe, and Australia with 60 shows across 12 countries, including some of the biggest venues of their career.
