Paris Music Corp. has always had that cinematic, slightly dreamy thing going on, something that can be found also here. There’s a soft, steady synth pulse underneath, which never passes for a club beat. It’s more like a nocturnal tale, dark, melancholic, flowing and calming. It’s ideal to have this song playing in repeat as a background, while working or reading, yet it may distract you sometimes with its cold synth phrases. At any case, Paris Music Corp. will satisfy the listeners with this wonderful piece of electronic music, which sounds so perfect and flawless, shadowy and hypnotic. “Midnight Pad” is an engaging, moody tune that reveals new details with each listen, rather than being a monotonous ambient track. Its atmosphere is putting you in, controls you and lets you go, only when it ends. John Andrew Paris is making electronic art and “Midnight Pad” is a single, which hits the desired spot. I am totally digging this music and wait to listen to the “Ecotone” album. If the whole album has the quality and the feeling of this single, we will encounter a fantastic electronic album.
