Former vocalist of Messiah, Andy Kaina, has passed away. He suffered a heart attack and died. Kaina was the band’s vocalist between 1990 and 1994, and also since the band’s reunion in 2017 up until 2021.
The Swiss thrash metal veterans issued the following statement about the loss: ”Dear Messiah fans & friends,
Unfortunately, today we have to bring you sad news and mourn the death of our friend ANDY KAINA. Andy suffered a heart attack and never woke up from the artificial coma. We are shocked and saddened and wish his family strength and all the best from the bottom of our hearts. His legacy lives on in the music of Messiah and we consider ourselves lucky to have recorded great albums with him. Andy, we will miss you!
