Lark is a Polish band, and “Nameless Void” is its sophomore album. So, what do we have here? Hard rock music that sounds modern, carries a dark atmosphere, and is performed with passion and soul. Lark also incorporates slight alternative and grunge elements, which are blended into their hard rock core in the best possible way. What I really like about Lark is their guitar riffs and melodic hooks, which stick in your mind from the very first listen and keep playing on repeat. These Polish musicians clearly know how to compose and arrange strong songs, and they have plenty to offer both musically and lyrically. “Nameless Void” is not just another hard rock album, but a record with personality, bite, and finesse. My favorite tracks are “The Mask Within”, “Rise”, and “Silently”, which features former Iron Maiden singer Blaze Bayley and is a true earworm. There are even some psychedelic touches in “Yourney” and the title track, “Nameless Void”, adding even more depth to the album. Lark has managed to create an outstanding record that will keep you great company for a long time and never leave you unsatisfied. “Nameless Void” is a top-class, high-octane heavy rock album with genuine personality from a band that is clearly meant to leave its mark on the contemporary rock scene. Lark have done an excellent job, and that becomes obvious from the very first spin of “Nameless Void”.
