The arrival of autumn finds Jon Voyager (a.k.a. Giannis Vogiatzis) and his band on the road — both literally, as they embark on their first full-band tour outside Athens with live shows in six cities, and creatively, as they move toward completing and releasing new material, two years after his debut solo album.
After twenty years in music — as a solo act, as frontman of the progsters Need, and with the party bands Bejeezus and Yakuza Six — Jon Voyager released his debut album Monsters (One Little Victory Records) in 2023. Across its eight tracks, he gathered everything that hadn’t yet found a home, introducing listeners to a different side of his musical self. Moving away from the heavy “metal” sound, he explored more alternative shades — blending alternative rock aesthetics with wanderlust-driven songwriting, lyrics about relationships and the city’s hidden stories, a touch of urban romanticism, and groove soaked in alcohol and memories.
Starting October 21 and for six dates, the band will hit the road through Ioannina, Thessaloniki, Trikala, Volos, Larissa, and Sparta — performing on both familiar and new stages, and inviting audiences to travel along with them through their music.
