HELLOWEEN: INDUCTED INTO METAL HALL OF FAME

by MythofRock

A few weeks ago, German heavy metal icons HELLOWEEN have been inducted into the Metal Hall of Fame by founder/CEO Pat Gesualdo and special guest Alissa White-Gluz (ARCH ENEMY) who’s part of the group’s most recent music video for their hit song ‘Best Time’ (more than 1,3 million views) which was launched on 2022 and can be watched below. The ceremony took place on May 20th during the band’s performance at Terminal 5 in New York City in front of thousands of fans on their North American »United Forces« touring leg with Swedish heavy metallers HAMMERFALL.

“HELLOWEEN have helped establish the origins of the power metal genre,” says Gesualdo. “Power metal is such an important part of the heavy metal community as well. We are proud to induct HELLOWEEN into the Metal Hall of Fame and have them to help represent the power metal genre and all its fans throughout the world.”

Comments HELLOWEEN founding guitarist Michael Weikath: “It’s truly an honor to be inducted into the Metal Hall of Fame! Being listed next to some of the biggest bands in rock and metal makes us very proud and is rewarding our work as ‘The Ambassadors Of Power And Melodic Metal’ for the last four decades.”

Following the previously mentioned run across the United States and Canada, the pumpgang have kicked off their personal European summer season this month which will see them headline Wacken Open Air and many more festivals, before the band will continue the »United Forces« touring cycle in Spain, Sweden and Norway and finally arrive in the land of the rising sun, Japan, for two massive performances in September.
