The song serves as the latest preview of the band’s forthcoming album, “Palace For The People”, set to arrive on October 9.

The release comes as the band prepares to launch the “Palace For The People” era with a rare sold-out performance tonight at Chicago’s legendary Metro. After years of headlining arenas across the globe, GRETA VAN FLEET is returning to the intimate venue for a special one-night-only show celebrating the beginning of this exciting new chapter.
On “Palace For The People”, GRETA VAN FLEET delve even deeper into themes of humanity, connection, resilience, and transcendence, crafting an album that is both deeply personal and universally relatable. The record reflects the band’s continued artistic evolution, offering a collection of songs that resonate on an emotional level while exploring the shared experiences that unite people.
“As much as it is a GRETA VAN FLEET record and a rock and roll record at its core, in its heart, it’s a very modern record,” GRETA VAN FLEET lead guitarist Jake Kiszka says.
Recorded in Tennessee during the spring of 2026, “Palace For The People” was co-produced by the band alongside Mike Elizondo (TURNSTILE, Eminem, Fiona Apple). The album captures GRETA VAN FLEET at their most confident and inspired, highlighting a band that sounds more dynamic, unified, and creatively energized than ever before.
“We love each other just as much as ever, if not more, because we’ve got to spend quality time together off of the road,” GRETA VAN FLEET lead singer Josh Kiszka shares. “We’ve grown closer, and we have more to say and share than ever.”
Drummer Danny Wagner concludes: “The minute the four of us step into a room with the shared goal of creating, there is very little that can stop us.”
The title “Palace For The People” draws inspiration from GRETA VAN FLEET’s sold-out 2022 world tour, when the band headlined London’s iconic Alexandra Palace before later selling out Wembley Arena. During their time at the historic venue, affectionately known as “Ally Pally,” the band discovered the fascinating story behind its origins.
Originally named “The Palace Of The People,” the Victorian-era landmark was envisioned as a place created not for monarchs or the wealthy elite, but for the public — a space where everyone could gather, escape, and experience a sense of wonder. For its time, the idea represented a truly progressive vision of inclusivity and community.
Years later, in 2026, GRETA VAN FLEET began reflecting on the meaning of that concept in the modern world, asking themselves what a “palace for the people” would represent today — and how such a place could be created.
“I can’t tell you how many people have come up to me and said ‘This is my best friend. We met through your music or at your show,'” explains GRETA VAN FLEET bassist/keyboardist Sam Kiszka, “and we realized, the music is our palace!”
In the spring of 2026, GRETA VAN FLEET entered their Tennessee studio ready to bring this vision to life and began working on the album. The band embraced an intentional creative period free from the usual distractions of press commitments, touring schedules, and outside obligations, allowing them to fully focus on the music.
The process proved to be incredibly productive, reigniting their passion for songwriting. Drawing inspiration from unfinished demos, partially completed ideas, and brand-new compositions, the band discovered a renewed sense of creativity and confidence. Feeling more powerful and inspired than ever, GRETA VAN FLEET created what would become “Palace For The People”.
