Formed in New York by ex-Dambuilders singer, songwriter and producer Dave Derby, Gramercy Arms is a music collective, a star-studded project, which has just now released its new album, “Deleted Scenes”. This third album continues the tradition of Gramercy Arms, who know how to compose and offer simple, warm, heartfelt and emotional songs. Through ten beautiful songs, Gramercy Arms are telling their story, which is so interesting, never boring, always mysterious and charming. As far as their style is concerned, Gramercy Arms plays mainly indie pop music, however, this is just a label – their songs have great, rich content and include some fantastic, varied elements. You will surely find here folk/country ingredients, rock n’ roll and classic rock influences and alternative pop/rock moments. I personally found so many different artists in this album, for example Eagles, E.L.O., Beatles, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty etc.! Here you will listen to wonderful male and female voices, fantastic lead and rhythm guitar harmonies, a stable, strong rhythm section, hook-laden verses and refrains, and of course, clever lyrics. This is a record, which needs your focus and patience. Once you understand the melodies and the passion, you will love this release. All ten songs give something special to the serious listener; songs like “Yesterday’s Girl”, “Tricky Love Stuff”, “Over Under Love”, “Feel Your Way” and “I Hope I’m Not Too Late” are rough diamonds, waiting to be discovered. Dave Derby managed to satisfy us again with a superb album, full of intriguing, apocalyptic “deleted scenes”. Check it out now!
