DAVE EVANS: RELEASES VIDEO FOR “STILL YOU KEEP HAUNTING MY DREAMS”

by MythofRock

Original AC/DC frontman Dave Evans has unveiled the official music video for his song “Still You Keep Haunting My Dreams”. The clip was shot at the renowned and sacred José María Azaél Franco Municipal Cemetery — also known as the Park of Memories — in Tulcán, Ecuador, as well as in the surrounding mountain landscapes near an active volcano and a mountain lake. Evans co-wrote the song with Nicolas Robinson in Denmark, where the track was also recorded and produced by Grammy Award–winning producer Flemming Rasmussen (METALLICA).

Rocking audiences worldwide for more than 50 years, Evans served as AC/DC’s original frontman from the band’s formation in November 1973 until September 1974, before being officially replaced by Bon Scott the following month. He was present for those formative early moments, including the band’s notorious first show at the Chequers nightclub and the recording of their debut single, “Can I Sit Next To You Girl?”, backed with “Baby, Please Don’t Go.” While his stint with AC/DC was short-lived, Evans played a crucial role in shaping the early identity of what would become one of rock’s most legendary bands.

After his time with AC/DC, Evans joined the Newcastle, Australia–based hard rock band RABBIT in 1975. Known for their theatrical, high-energy live shows and gritty rock sound, RABBIT quickly rose to become one of the country’s most exciting live acts. Evans’s commanding stage presence and powerful vocals were key in securing a deal with CBS Records, leading to the release of two albums, Rabbit and Too Much Rock And Roll. The latter attracted national attention and earned international distribution across Europe and Japan. Despite their growing success, RABBIT disbanded in 1978, worn down by major lineup changes and relentless touring.

Never one to let the spotlight dim as the world moved on, Dave has remained relentlessly active since 1978. Over the years, he has been involved in numerous projects, including 1986’s DAVE EVANS & THUNDER DOWN UNDER, various AC/DC tribute bands, and an extensive solo career. He has released more than a dozen solo albums, among them Sinner, Judgement Day, and 2013’s Revenge, recorded with former Alice Cooper guitarist John Nitzinger. The latter earned multiple perfect-score reviews from rock media around the world.
