Rock icon Ann Wilson has teamed up with acclaimed psych-rock outfit TRIPSITTER for the release of their collaborative album, “Consecrated Ground”, due out on August 14.
To mark the announcement, the group has unveiled the album’s first single, “I Will Not Be Coming Back”, which is now available across all major streaming platforms.
A bold and uncompromising set of songs, “Consecrated Ground” fuses hard rock, psychedelic textures, blues influences, and deeply personal storytelling. The album sees Ann Wilson exploring fresh creative ground while remaining true to the powerful vocal style that made her one of rock’s most celebrated voices. Backed by her longtime collaborators TRIPSITTER, whose rich and dynamic musicianship complements every track, Wilson delivers another compelling chapter in her ever-evolving musical journey.
The album announcement comes during a remarkable chapter in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame legend’s celebrated career. Earlier this year, Ann Wilson made a triumphant return to the stage with HEART’s highly successful “Royal Flush” tour after recovering from cancer, once again proving why she remains one of rock’s most commanding and enduring voices.
Away from live performances, Wilson has expanded her creative reach with her acclaimed podcast, “After Dinner Thinks”, where she hosts open and engaging conversations with artists and cultural figures such as Chappell Roan, Lucy Dacus, Billy Bob Thornton, and others. She is also the focus of the upcoming documentary “In My Voice”, which offers an intimate portrait of her life, artistic journey, and remarkable resilience.
The album’s lead single, “I Will Not Be Coming Back”, offers a striking first taste of “Consecrated Ground”. Powered by Ann Wilson’s unmistakable vocals and the rich, energetic musicianship of TRIPSITTER, the song explores themes of freedom, personal transformation, and steadfast independence. It stands as a confident declaration from an artist who continues to challenge herself creatively.
