When a band plays at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, you know it has to be something extraordinary, something truly special. This time, the Herodeion welcomed Air—a band like no other—and every good music lover made their way to the ancient venue, right next to the Acropolis.

Just before nine o’clock, the Odeon was packed with music fans, all patiently waiting for Air to take the stage. The French electronic duo didn’t keep us waiting. Right on time, Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel appeared, dressed in white, already performing the opening track from their iconic, wildly successful debut “Moon Safari”. “La Femme d’Argent” was our ticket for an unforgettable journey—”Moon Safari” played in full, plus a handful of their most beautiful songs.
They performed with precision, emotion and total confidence—you could almost swear you were listening to the original recordings! The sound was crystal clear, loud and full of depth. The duo’s technical skill and musicality were truly impressive, earning awe and thunderous applause from the crowd.
With this flawless, heartfelt and serious live show, Air not only thrilled their fans, but surely gained some new ones too. Music lovers and critics alike will have plenty of praise for this innovative band, which blends so many different styles and influences into something uniquely their own.
Air proved to be true musical heroes—focused, inspired and dedicated to their craft. After this amazing concert, I can proudly say I’m now a fan. Their electronic sound is simply stunning and I absolutely love their use of the vocoder!

The Odeon of Herodes Atticus hosted a phenomenal show that took us to the stars and back. A truly unforgettable evening, thanks to the electronic pioneers of Air. After finishing “Moon Safari” and the mini best-of set, they ended the night with an encore: “Alone in Kyoto” and “Electronic Performers”.
What a glorious night, pushing the boundaries of music. Now let’s all hope for a brand-new studio album—don’t we all deserve it?
