I don’t think that epic metal fans are satisfied with the current condition in the worldwide metal scene. Nowadays, the ones who like their metal epic and pompous don’t have often the chance to enjoy record releases, which are truly epic. So, when I listened to Warrior Path’s debut album, I was amazed, since this album is a priceless epic metal jewel – that’s how epic metal should sound, with all its greatness, passion, heart and conviction. The press has been talking with the nicest words for the “Warrior Path” album, and I frankly couldn’t agree more. Warrior Path is the brainchild of Andreas Sinanoglou (guitar), who has written all the band’s material – the famous Bob Katsionis of Firewind/Outloud and the rising star of Yannis Papadopoulos (Beast in Black’s vocalist) have contributed to the whole album and have augmented the overall quality of the songs. Well, Papadopoulos is singing like there is no tomorrow and Katsionis is playing with unique musicianship – as far as the guitars of Sinanoglou are concerned, their sound is flawless and magical. What you will hear in this album is genuine, classic epic metal – melodies and guitar riffs are the strong characteristics of “Warrior Path”, an album that follows the path of heavy/power metal bands, like Iron Maiden, Manowar, Omen, Warlord and Running Wild. Most of the songs have a long duration, since there is always a progression: you will find the beginning, the main parts and the epilogue in every song – add to these a glorious/hymnic feeling, the galloping rhythm, a monumental theatricality and you will get close to Warrior Path’s sonic identity. I can’t help listening to this anthemic opus – “Warrior Path” is the victory of epic metal, the triumph of the metal warrior. We had years and years to listen to such a great debut from an epic metal band – Warrior Path are heading to the throne!
