Platinum-selling rock band The Pretty Reckless has launched a powerful new chapter with the announcement of its upcoming fifth studio album, “Dear God”, along with plans for a headlining world tour in 2026. Alongside the news, the band has released a brand-new single titled “When I Wake Up”, available now through Fearless Records. You can listen to it below.
Kicking off a bold new creative phase, Dear God dives deep into vulnerability, intensity, and artistic freedom, offering listeners one of the band’s most honest and uncompromising records to date. The album was crafted with a renewed focus on raw, diary-like songwriting that reflects the band’s evolving perspective.
The energetic new single “When I Wake Up” channels a punchy, punk-driven edge while still carrying the hallmarks of the band’s sound: roaring guitars and the unmistakable powerhouse voice of Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless.
The album will also feature the band’s chart-topping track “For I Am Death,” which reached No. 1 on Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay last November. The achievement marked the group’s fourth consecutive No. 1 on the chart and the second time they have managed this impressive run.
Speaking about the song and new album, Momsen said: “‘When I Wake Up’ is the story of a dream becoming a nightmare. When a life of excess leads you on a rollercoaster that is doomed to crash but you just can’t see it. It’s a good time…”.
The Pretty Reckless will take their electrifying live show around the globe with the newly announced Dear God headlining tour. The run will begin in North America, with stops in cities such as New Orleans, Dallas, and Los Angeles, before continuing on to Europe, where the tour will conclude. The new trek comes after the band spent nearly two years touring worldwide as special guests of AC/DC on the Power Up tour.
