THE DEAD DAISIES: ANNOUNCED KELLY HANSEN AS THEIR NEW SINGER!

by MythofRock

Hard rock powerhouse THE DEAD DAISIES are set to enter a new era in 2027 with the addition of legendary former FOREIGNER vocalist Kelly Hansen. Marking a fresh start for the band, the rock collective has announced plans for a brand-new single as well as an extensive worldwide touring campaign.

Led by Kelly Hansen, the current THE DEAD DAISIES lineup features the powerhouse guitar duo of Doug Aldrich (WHITESNAKE, DIO) and David Lowy (MINK, RED PHOENIX). Completing the hard-hitting lineup are drummer Tommy Clufetos (BLACK SABBATH, Ozzy Osbourne) and bassist Jimi Crutchley (THE QUIREBOYS).

Hansen comments: “When I left FOREIGNER after 20 great years, I told everybody I wasn’t ‘retiring’ just moving on to other things. This project gives me the opportunity to stretch out with some new melodies, a new vibe and fresh energy. We’re gonna rock it!”.

With the band currently in the studio working on new material, “Lift Me Up” is the first song to emerge, offering a glimpse of what’s to come.

Aldrich states: “‘Lift Me Up’ started off as a dead simple guitar riff and heavy groove. As the song progressed, the melody just grew from there. It’s very melodic and the lyric reflects positively and a vibe to lift us up in these crazy times.

“We’re working on more cool music for the album right now and I’m excited about where it’s heading. It’s also gonna be amazing to be onstage with Kelly again after all these years! His vocal range is exceptional and he’s a badass frontman. Can’t wait to get out there and see you all in 2027!!”

THE DEAD DAISIES will spend the rest of the year in the studio working on new music before embarking on an extensive worldwide tour in 2027. The band’s confirmed spring European leg will take place from March 4 to March 21, with a U.S. tour leg also scheduled for 2027.

Fans can expect an explosive live show featuring the band’s new material alongside classic fan favorites as THE DEAD DAISIES take their music to stages around the world.

Lowy states: “We’re fired up about the direction THE DAISIES is taking. Kelly has slotted in and it just feels right. We’ve got a killer record taking shape and looking forward to a big year of touring ahead. Bring on 2027!”
