by MythofRock

Robert “Bob” James died in Las Vegas at the age of 68 from stomach ulcer complications.

The American singer was best known for his work with Montrose in the 70s. He released two great albums with Montrose, “Warner Bros. Presents…Montrose” (1975) and “Jump On It” (1976), replacing Sammy Hagar.

In 1978 James fronted MAGNET, which featured ex-Humble Pie drummer Jerry Shirley, and released the album “Worldwide Attraction” on A&M Records.
