Nearly two years after the release of their latest album, “State of Emergency”, New York City metal icons PRONG have officially joined forces with leading rock and metal label Napalm Records, signing a global recording deal.
Formed in 1986 by founding member and frontman Tommy Victor, PRONG have firmly secured their place in the annals of American metal. From the gritty underground clubs of New York City in the ’80s to the height of the MTV Headbangers Ball era with landmark ’90s albums like Beg to Differ, Prove You Wrong, Cleansing, and Rude Awakening, the band has remained a powerful force. Following their official return in the late 2000s, PRONG have continued to deliver raw, thought-provoking, and essential music for a new generation of heavy music fans. Now, Napalm Records proudly welcomes PRONG to its diverse and dynamic artist roster.
Tommy Victor on signing to Napalm Records: “Oh, man, I am honored, thrilled and excited that PRONG is now with Napalm Records. It’s simply a fantastic label to be on. I’m so happy about it!”
PRONG’s signing comes just ahead of their upcoming European headlining tour, which celebrates the 31st anniversary of their acclaimed 1994 album Cleansing. The tour kicks off on July 30 in Hamburg, Germany, with support from ESCUELA GRIND and VLAD IN TEARS. Spanning multiple European countries, the run will conclude on August 16 at Angeliter Open Air in Taarstedt, Germany. Along the way, PRONG will also make notable appearances at major festivals including Brutal Assault, Alcatraz Metal Festival, and more.
