It is official. The surviving members of Pantera are going to embark on a Pantera “reunion” tour in 2023. Philip Anselmo (vocals) and Rex Brown (bass) have signed with Artist Group International to book their North American dates. Peter Pappalardo, one of the responsible agents, said: “We are thrilled to be working with such an iconic band and bringing their music back to the fans”. Pantera’s line-up will include Zakk Wylde on guitar and Charlie Benante (Anthrax) on the drums. So, Wylde and Benante, along with singer Philip Anselmo and bassist Rex Brown, will tour as Pantera, headlining a number of major festivals across North America and Europe and staging some of their own headline concerts.
The whole matter is controversial though, since there cannot be any Pantera without Dimebag Darell and Vinnie Paul.
