Marilyn Manson has announced “One Assassination Under God – Chapter 2”, the next installment in his current creative revival. The album, co-written and co-produced with Tyler Bates, arrives August 14 via Nuclear Blast Records.
To celebrate the announcement, Manson has released the album’s lead single, “Exit Wound”, which is now available across all major streaming services.
Dark, cinematic, and intensely immersive, “Exit Wound” builds upon the sonic foundation laid by “Chapter 1” while venturing further into brooding atmospheres, heavy industrial soundscapes, and haunting melodic undertones. The single offers the first taste of an album that broadens both the conceptual scope and musical depth of the world introduced by its predecessor.
“One Assassination Under God – Chapter 2” is set to be released just days before Manson embarks on his late-summer co-headlining tour alongside Rob Zombie.

Manson’s current touring lineup features guitarist Nick Annis, known for his work with Dorothy and Kesha, alongside bassist Tim Skold, a longtime collaborator who was a member of the band from 2002 to 2008 and transitioned from guitar to bass during his original tenure. The lineup is rounded out by Piggy D., who has moved from bass duties to co-lead guitar, sharing the role with Annis.
