GHOSTS OF ATLANTIS – “3/6/2/4” (2021, BLACK LION)

by MythofRock

Ghosts of Atlantis is a newly formed band, hailing from Ipswich, England, however, its members are well-experienced professionals, whose debut album sounds so mature, deep, fresh and rich. Apart from their technical skills and musicianship, it is crystal clear that the band members have brilliant songwriting skills; “3/6/2/4” is full of nice melodic death metal songs (with clean and brutal vocals), where many different musical elements are integrated – symphonic, gothic, cinematic influences play their significant role in the final result. I personally liked very much that Ghosts of Atlantis has many feelings and knows how to express them through its music. In this debut album you will hear emotive songs and immerse in amazing atmospheres – it will be like watching an epic Hollywood movie or reading an interesting, dreamy fiction novel. If you trust Ghosts of Atlantis, you will enter the magnificent cosmos of “3/6/2/4” and experience something magical. The performances are flawless, the mix of the genres sounds intriguing, all of the compositions are baptized in waters of great inspiration. Everything here rocks, every moment has a meaning, every note is an essential piece of a wonderful sonic puzzle. I didn’t find a weak moment in this debut album, only ups, not downs. Ghosts of Atlantis creates ethereal metal art, which mesmerizes and hypnotizes. “The Third Pillar”, “The Curse of Man” and “Gardens of Athena” are just simple exams of Ghost of Atlantis supremacy, where brutality and melody are combined excellently. Go grab this album, Ghosts of Atlantis has prepared a record, which will impress you with its musical beauty.
