Swedish melodic metal band DYNAZTY have entered a new chapter in their career after signing with Napalm Records. Since their formation, the band have followed their own path, constantly pushing their musical boundaries. Their first album for the new label, “Dark Arts”, is set for release on March 5, 2027, and promises to take listeners into unexplored territory. With twelve new tracks, DYNAZTY go deeper than ever before, growing as musicians, songwriters, and individuals while exploring the darker sides of human nature. “Dark Arts” invites listeners on a journey into the deepest corners of the human psyche, guiding them through its shadows before leading them safely back into the light.
The band comments: “We are greatly excited about joining forces with Napalm Records for this next phase of DYNAZTY. A label and team that understands this band and shows real enthusiasm and willingness to invest time, effort, and muscle into it is exactly what we have been looking for for a long time! We’re off to a great start already with ‘Dark Arts’ and can’t wait to keep going!”
The album announcement is accompanied by the release of the first single, “The Mission”, which delivers modern power metal melodies wrapped in epic, heroic grandeur. With its infectious hooks and the dynamic vocals of Nils Molin, also a member of AMARANTHE, the track is sure to stay with listeners long after it ends. DYNAZTY’s next mission will take them on tour alongside metal legends ACCEPT, who are celebrating their 50th anniversary. With such legendary names recognizing the talent of a younger generation, the Swedish quintet looks set for an exciting future.
DYNAZTY comments on “The Mission”: “‘The Mission’ is a song about the relentless nature of the human spirit to overcome obstacles and insurmountable hardships. One of the first songs we wrote for the album and a great first showing of the album ‘Dark Arts’ — ‘The Mission’ is a DYNAZTY anthem we feel strongly for. Enjoy and stay tuned for a whole lot more!”
With their tenth full-length album, DYNAZTY bring melodic metal and power metal together in a captivating and suspenseful musical journey. Across twelve diverse tracks, each with its own character and purpose, the band explore the darkest corners of the human soul while balancing them with a sense of hope in humanity. Divided into two equally ambitious acts, “Dark Arts” broadens DYNAZTY’s musical horizons and showcases the Swedish band at the peak of their creative powers.
DYNAZTY comments on “Dark Arts”: “We set out with a clear goal when writing ‘Dark Arts’. And in the efforts and quest of creating the most all-encompassing and ultimate DYNAZTY experience and album yet, we drove ourselves further than we’ve ever done before, close to the brink of exhaustion and literal madness while touring for ‘Game Of Faces’ concurrently with writing this one. But I do think that we ultimately clawed our way over the finish line and completed our mission, because to me at least, ‘Dark Arts’ is the band’s most accomplished work and something we feel genuinely proud of. And to make a long story shorter and sum up the album in fewer words: It’s one hell of a melodic heavy metal ride and journey from start to finish. The band is firing on all cylinders on this one — don’t sleep on it!
“P.S.: If you are looking for the real deep dive experience on the concept of the album, look no further than the deluxe version of ‘Dark Arts’ with two extra songs and fantastic artwork by Péter Sallai. Highly recommended!”
