Before I listen to Crosson’ s new album, having seen the photos of the band and the album cover, having read that Duane Baron mixed the album and Dave Donnelly mastered it, I didn’t know what to expect. I didn’t know if the first impressions were good. Well, that was in the beginning. Because when I listened to the band’s songs, I was simply amazed! We are talking about a total of ten glam/arena/FM rock/metal songs, which are unbelievable, ten songs of passion and energy, full of monumental melodies and incredible refrains. Jason Crosson has crafted a wonderful album, which will make you sing along, dance all night and day and scream with joy. The Aussie vocalist, writer and producer, inspired by great artists like KISS, Meat Loaf, Twisted Sister, Bon Jovi and many others, is offering us a work of beautiful art, which will touch your heart and soul. Crosson is blowing up the world with this glam dynamite, as the songs don’t have only melodic hooks, but also heavy riffs, grand guitar solos and a tight rhythm section. “Ready Aim Rock” is heavy, groovy, and surely diverse, since here you will find many other elements, for example from musicals, 70s classic rock, gothic rock, even folk music. All songs are outstanding – from the nice opener “United” to the sophisticated epilogue of “Afterlife”, this new Crosson album is a killer album, which proves that rock music is still alive and kicking!
