Multi-platinum singer-songwriter Cody Jinks has released a new track, “Moving Mountains”, featuring a guest appearance from hard rock legend Alice Cooper. The song is out now via Jinks’ own Late August Records.
Written by Jinks, Cooper and Bob Ezrin, “Moving Mountains” draws inspiration from faith, perseverance and the strength to overcome life’s biggest challenges. After hearing an early demo of the song, Cooper agreed to contribute his vocals, adding a powerful new dimension to Jinks’ deeply personal songwriting. “Moving Mountains” will also be released to Christian contemporary and rock radio.
Jinks shares: “Who would have thought ‘Moving Mountains’ would turn into what it did? A simple concept for a song that turned into one of the coolest collaborations I’ll ever be a part of.”
Cooper comments: “Cody is an interesting guy. I really like him. He is a bit of an outlaw and outsider in my mind, but he’s first and foremost a really good songwriter. I kind of gravitated towards the idea of working together because we had these things in common. My character is also kind of an outlaw and definitely an outsider, but the music has always come first. We always make sure the songs are great. I’ve always thought it would be interesting to work with a country rock songwriter and Cody really fits in with that idea of quality accessible songwriting that still has a bit of an edge.”
Written without any particular genre in mind, “Moving Mountains” blends elements of country, faith and rock while exploring spiritual preparedness through the metaphor of packing for a long tour with no immediate return. Inspired by the idea that faith can move mountains, the song reflects on life’s journey, the choices we make along the way and what it means to be ready for whatever lies ahead.

2026 has been a remarkable year for Jinks, who continues to strengthen his reputation as one of country music’s most independent and uncompromising artists. In 2025, he released In My Blood, followed by a deluxe edition of his eleventh studio album, which added three new tracks — “Good Man,” “Know It All” and “Jesus And The Devil” — along with an acoustic version of fan favorite “Lonely Man.” Jinks is currently on the road as a special guest on FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH’s “20th Anniversary World Tour,” bringing his distinctive country sound to major venues across the country. His current run of dates will continue through October 23.
