CLONE – “GALVANIZED” (2025, SINGLE, LITTLE CLOUD RECORDS)

by MythofRock

Brooklyn alt-rock outfit Clone has returned with a new single – “Galvanized” is a track that demands attention from the very beginning. Serving as a preview of their upcoming EP “Care To Try”, the song captures the raw energy of post-punk while keeping a sharp, modern edge. “Galvanized” is both urgent and hypnotic. The guitars cut through with angular riffs that instantly bring to mind the grit of Sonic Youth and the tense groove of Gang of Four. The rhythm section drives the song forward with a steady but forceful pulse, while the vocals deliver a mix of intensity and emotion, creating a sound that feels rebellious and vulnerable. What stands out most about “Galvanized” is its balance between chaos and control. The band builds layers of noise and texture, but never loses sight of melody. There’s a sense of turbulence in the music, almost like a storm rolling in, but it’s channeled into something sharp and purposeful. The song feels political, tapping into frustration, urgency and a need for change—emotions that resonate strongly in today’s world. The production is crisp and raw, allowing each instrument to shine without softening the edges. It’s the kind of track that sounds equally at home on headphones as it would blasting in a sweaty Brooklyn club. With “Galvanized” Clone shows they are more than just another post-punk revival act. They bring sincerity, bite, passion—reminding us what powerful alternative rock can still achieve. If this single is any sign, “Care To Try” is going to be one hell of a ride.
