Doom metal masters Candlemass have just shared the second single off their upcoming album, “Sweet Evil Sun”. This new single is the title-track of the album and it comes some time after the release of “Scandinavian Gods”, the first single. The new album will be released on November 18, 2022, via Napalm Records.
Candlemass founder and bassist Leif Edling stated about “Sweet Evil Sun”: “It took me only an hour or so to write, but it turned out to be not only the title track of ‘Sweet Evil Sun’, but also one of the best songs on it. Nice riff, great chorus and one heck of a guitar solo from Lars [Johansson]! Immediate, epic, heavy, catchy! It kicks ass!!”.
“Sweet Evil Sun” was recorded at NOX studio in Stockholm, Sweden.
