Finnish modern metal powerhouse BLIND CHANNEL has returned after a deliberate 18-month hiatus, kicking off an exciting new chapter with renewed passion and purpose. Reenergized, inspired, and more determined than ever, the chart-topping five-piece is ready to take both longtime fans and new listeners on a journey that is as deeply personal as it is universally relatable. Marking this fresh beginning, BLIND CHANNEL proudly unveils “Painstream” — their most mature, honest, and ambitious album to date.
“Painstream” marks BLIND CHANNEL’s sixth studio album and is scheduled for release on October 30 via Century Media Records. Featuring twelve hard-hitting new tracks, the album explores the struggles of personal growth, unflinching self-reflection, and emotional resilience, channeling those experiences into an explosive and powerful modern metal sound.
The band comments: “In a world filled with uncertainty, conflict and division, pain is one thing all humans share. Rather than separating us, ‘Painstream’ explores the idea that pain can unite us, reminding us of our common humanity. We examine pain from personal, societal and existential perspectives, while also uncovering something unexpected: hope.”
Offering fans an early glimpse of “Painstream”, BLIND CHANNEL has unveiled a short film featuring the band’s first new music since the release of “Exit Emotions” in March 2024. The film introduces the tracks “Diana” and “No Encores In A Swan Song”, setting the tone for the album’s next chapter. Alongside these first two singles, the band has also announced additional single releases scheduled for September 3 and October 1.
Fans across Europe and Japan will soon have the opportunity to experience BLIND CHANNEL live once again. The band has announced a landmark hometown show at Helsinki Ice Hall on November 14, with tickets going on sale August 11, as well as two live performances in Japan. Looking ahead, BLIND CHANNEL will also hit the road for an extensive “Painstream” European headlining tour in early 2027, with tickets becoming available on September 3.
