The show, set to occur during XP’s vibrant nightlife programming, marks a bold new chapter in WOLFHEART’s career as they continue their international tour in support of their latest album, Draconian Darkness. Released to critical acclaim, Draconian Darkness was recorded at Deep Noise Studios, with production, mixing, and mastering by the band’s long-time collaborator, Saku Moilanen, and artwork by visionary artist Nikos Stavridakis (VisionBlack).

Approximately 45 minutes after the doors had opened, the lights dimmed and Desert Near the End took the stage. The Greek speed/power metallers kicked off their set beautifully, but encountered some issues with one of the guitars, leading to a brief pause. However, they returned with renewed energy, delivering their dynamic and thrashy material with confidence. Their performance exuded passion and emotion as they played their intricate songs. Obviously, the crowd was warmed up with Desert Near the End’s performance. Their music served as the perfect precursor to what was to come. After treating us to moments of heavy metal bliss, Desert Near the End exited the stage, passing the baton to…

… Wolfheart, the Finnish death metal band featuring Greek guitarist Vagelis Karzis, took the stage by storm at An Club, delivering a powerhouse performance of their best songs. Their sound was colossal, their technical prowess impressive, their passion palpable, and their strength unmatched! Wolfheart’s stage presence was commanding, their interaction with the audience ideal and they sounded like a force to be reckoned with. Their performance was a perfect blend of elegance and brutality, leaving a lasting impact on the listener. Although I was unfamiliar with many of their songs, I thoroughly enjoyed their entire set, and I’m certain that all attendees were super-excited with Wolfheart’s performance at An Club! The excellent sound production ensured that every member of the band shone brilliantly, especially Vagelis Karzis, whose guitar skills were incredible. Overall, Wolfheart’s performance was a phenomenal display of heart and skill, leaving us in awe.

Having witnessed Wolfheart delivering an magnificent performance, we made our way home. This melodic death metal night has been etched into our psyche – I cannot forget this amazing show!

Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM) is proud to announce the signing of Finnish melodic death metal pack WOLFHEART. Much admired for their powerful combination of brutal riffs and complex melodies, the band are another varied addition to the RPM roster. WOLFHEART have continously developed their sound after their foundation by skillful mastermind Tuomas Saukkonen in 2013, and being one of the most captivating acts of the Finnish metal scene made them gather a huge global following over the years.

Guitarist/vocalist and founder Saukkonen comments on the deal: “I am confident that signing to Reigning Phoenix Music is an exciting game changer for us and RPM is nothing but the right place to continue conquering the world with our art. The future looks brighter than ever and excitement is an understatement for what we feel about the forthcoming co-operation and adventures.”

RPM managing director Jochen Richert adds on the promising union: “It’s exciting times for us at RPM as we welcome this death metal groove bulldozer to our family. There’s not many bands out there who are nearly as good as WOLFHEART at fusing brutality and melody.”

The group completed by Vageliss Karzis (guitars, vocals), Lauri Silvonen (bass, vocals; BLOODRED HOURDGLASS) and drummer Joonas Kauppinen are experiencing a high of their creative work period and are working with high pressure on new material, which fans can already look forward to. Originally starting as Saukkonen’s solo project and immediately receiving overwhelming feedback for their debut album »Winterborn« (2015), WOLFHEART have reached a good status and are recognised internationally. Their powerful appearances at renown festivals as well as many tours around the globe brought them many following metalheads, and their signing to RPM now cements their worth in the music world.

Before WOLFHEART continuing their journey with a new album under the aegis of Reigning Phoenix Music, the quartet will embark on an Australian tour with Italian symphonic death metallers FLESHGOD APOCALPYSE in March but also visit Eastern European countries in support of their latest album »King Of The North« in May, followed by select summer festival appearances. As if this wasn’t enough, the band will join Sweden’s melodic death metal pioneers DARK TRANQUILLITY and Portuguese dark/gothic metal icons MOONSPELL on a recently announced 24-date European run in October/November. Opening support will come from German melodic death metallers HIRAES.

Originated by hardworking multi-instrumentalist Tuomas Saukkonen (BEFORE THE DAWN, BLACK SUN AEON etc.), WOLFHEART stand for a unique combination of sinister atmosphere and intense Northern European metal. Their music is based on sheer strength and poetic depth what generated much appreciation for their work within the worldwide metal community. While WOLFHEART‘s art is mainly inspired by their Finnish surrounding, their albums tell eclectic stories connecting nature and human feelings, and with each and every album, they’ve managed to extend their artistic horizon and to give even more utterance to their music.
