A legendary force behind Iron Maiden, Nicko McBrain joined the band in 1982 after building his reputation through work with acts such as Streetwalkers, Pat Travers, and Trust, while sharpening his skills through years of demanding session work in the fiercely competitive studios and streets of London’s Soho. Renowned for his powerful precision behind the kit and his larger-than-life stage presence, McBrain became a true metal icon and an essential part of shaping Maiden’s unmistakable sound.

With his trademark wit and warmth, McBrain offers an intimate look behind the curtain of one of Britain’s most celebrated bands, sharing the triumphs and challenges of an extraordinary career on the road, in the studio, and in his role as “Mr. Iron Maiden” to the band’s devoted global fanbase.

This is the story of what it means to stay not only relevant but more beloved than ever after decades at the summit, and of a life profoundly shaped by music, brotherhood, and faith.

Filled with unforgettable memories, behind-the-scenes revelations, laugh-out-loud stories, and striking honesty, “Hello Boys And Girls!” is far more than a rock memoir — it offers an exclusive front-row pass into one of heavy metal’s most remarkable lives.

Nicko comments: “I’m very excited and honoured to be working with the wonderful Harper Nonfiction team on my very own book full of lots of fun stories, anecdotes and of course my incredible experiences with some of the greatest musicians and performers from the ’70s, ’80s and beyond! I am blessed to be able to finally share my path to where I am today, in my own words, with the world”.
