To offer fans a first glimpse of the upcoming album, the band has released the single “Memories”, accompanied by an official music video, which can be viewed below.

Bassist Andreas Blomqvist commented: “This was oddly enough one of the last, if not the last song we wrote for the album. We were sweating a bit in that we didn’t feel we had the best song to launch the new band with. Then Kyrt [keyboardist Andreas Söderin] did his magic and brought what would become ‘Memories’ to the studio. [Singer] Mattias [Olofsson] wrote the vocals and also took lead on writing the lyrics and we finished them off together. We feel this is the perfect song to showcase what SEVENTH WONDER of 2026/2027 sounds like and we really hope you like it too!”.

With “VII”, SEVENTH WONDER deliver one of the most inspired and accomplished albums of their career, reaffirming their status as one of the leading acts in the European progressive metal scene. The record also ushers in a new era for the band, introducing vocalist Mattias Olofsson, who joins following the departure of Tommy Karevik, now a member of KAMELOT.

Rather than simply stepping into an existing role, Mattias has become a natural part of the SEVENTH WONDER sound, adding his own personality and vocal style while remaining true to the band’s musical identity. The collaboration proves highly effective, as showcased by the powerful and emotionally charged single “Memories”.

Andreas Blomqvist explained: “It was a daunting task to go out and find a new singer, as well as figure out who we were after the silence since ‘The Testament’. I believe we managed to get all the diversity that we could in there in terms of atmospheres and vibes, but certainly not deviating from the well-known formula of what has become the cornerstone of our unique sound”.

“A new singer is a new face of the band which we hope will reinvigorate the listeners and bring something new and exciting to the table. At the same time long-time fans will probably feel right at home in the sonic landscape of solos, odd time signatures and instrumental endeavors that they’ll be expecting”, he added. “We are thrilled to finally get to share our seventh studio album with you all, and hope you enjoy ‘VII’ as much as we do!”.

Musically, “VII” showcases the band’s songwriting maturity and sophistication. Intricate arrangements, meticulously crafted details, outstanding musicianship and a remarkable sense of melody combine to create an album that is both ambitious and effortlessly natural.

American hard rock veterans Tesla have unveiled their rendition of Queen’s 1977 classic “Spread Your Wings”, featured on their forthcoming album “Homage”, which is scheduled for release on July 17, 2026 through Frontiers Music. Representing a full-circle moment in Tesla’s long and celebrated career, the record sees the band revisiting its beginnings with a carefully chosen collection of cover songs paying tribute to some of rock’s most enduring classics.

TESLA bassist, keyboardist, pianist and backing vocalist Brian Wheat says: “‘Spread Your Wings’ for me was the song I always wanted to record by QUEEN. I always felt it was the one song they had in their catalog that should’ve been a massive hit, but wasn’t because it was overshadowed by ‘We Are the Champions’ and ‘We Will Rock You’ on the ‘News Of The World’ album. It was also a song written by John Deacon, who was the band’s secret weapon and whom not many people talk about, the quiet one, shall we say.”

Marking a full-circle moment in their long and storied career, Tesla return to their roots with “Homage”, a collection of cover songs paying tribute to some of rock’s most enduring classics.

To give fans a first glimpse of what’s coming, the band has unveiled their take on Climax Blues Band’s iconic track “I Love You” (2026 version). The single is accompanied by an official music video, which you can check out below.

TESLA comments: “‘I Love You’, like all the tracks on ‘Homage’, not only pays tribute to legends but gives us a chance to showcase our lead singer’s diversity as well as the musical dynamics we learned as a band many years ago.”

It’s striking to think that more than four decades have passed since Tesla started out as a cover band playing California nightclubs, long before evolving into a successful act that would create original music and sell millions of records.

Much like their musical heroes — The Beatles and The Rolling Stones — who sharpened their skills by performing songs from earlier artists, Tesla followed a similar path in their formative years and still carries that spirit today, honoring their influences through cover songs.

“Homage” not only pays tribute to legendary artists, but also highlights the vocal range and versatility of Jeff Keith. The album feels like a heartfelt musical thank-you — a nod to the iconic voices and songs that shaped Tesla’s influences and ultimately inspired their own songwriting journey.

“Homage” isn’t about imitation, but recognition — drawing a clear line between influence and identity, between listening and becoming. The project also comes more than two decades after the “Real To Reel” series, a release that ultimately sparked the creation of a new original Tesla track, “Never Alone”.

The tracks chosen for “Homage” reflect a range of influences, with a strong focus on some of the greatest vocalists of all time, including Elvis Presley, Freddie Mercury, Sam Cooke, David Ruffin, Etta James, and James Brown. At the same time, the selection also draws from songs the members of Tesla grew up listening to, whether on the radio or spinning on their turntables.

On the upcoming album, TESLA shares: “Our new album ‘Homage’ is a thank-you note written in sound. An offering to the great singers and songs that shaped the music we grew up listening to, and the songs we would eventually write. We hope you all enjoy this as much as we did making it. Thank you for all the years — keep it real and keep on rockin’!”

“Homage” track listing:

01. Never Alone (original song)
02. Bring It On Home (Sam Cooke cover)
03. Spread Your Wings (QUEEN cover)
04. I Wish It Would Rain (THE TEMPTATIONS cover)

On Sunday (December 21),Sweet took to his social media to write: “I’m so happy to say that my new solo inspirational album, ‘The Master Plan’ is coming after the new year! The first single will most likely be released by the end of January!”.

Michael continued: “I can say that it’s unlike anything that I’ve ever done before. It’s a worship album but I’m calling it an ‘inspirational’ album, based on the fact that it really doesn’t sound like any other worship album. Every song is unique and stands on its own, yet it all blends together and sounds complete.

“It’s been basically sitting on a shelf for a few years due to not really knowing exactly how I wanted to release it. I thought about doing so on my own and then I decided to pass it around to labels. Frontiers heard it and loved it! Even though it’s not their typical format, I’m so happy to see their excitement and commitment to the album and to everything that I do musically. It’s a breath of fresh air and it will inspire you and encourage you, I promise!”.

Sweet added: “On another note, the new STRYPER album is complete (writing). I wanted to get it done sooner than later due to everything going on. I’ll post some audio/videos of that once we start and get into it.

“And last but not least, I really do hope that you all are enjoying [STRYPER’s recently released Christmas album] ‘The Greatest Gift Of All’. If you haven’t heard it, check it out.

“Merry Christmas and God bless you all”.

To mark the announcement, the band has shared a live rendition of their classic hit “Heat Of The Moment,” accompanied by a live performance video. Give it a watch below.

ASIA returns in full force with a vibrant new lineup. Captured live during the first of three unforgettable shows at Trading Boundaries in Sussex in April 2025, this release showcases the band performing their landmark 1982 debut album “Asia” in its entirety, along with a set of their most beloved hits.

With Geoff Downes on keyboards, Virgil Donati (ex-PLANET X) on drums, John Mitchell (ARENA, IT BITES) on guitar, and Harry Whitley handling bass and vocals, this refreshed ASIA lineup blends deep respect for the classics with an electrifying new spark onstage.

The setlist spans essential fan favorites—“Heat Of The Moment,” “Only Time Will Tell,” “Sole Survivor,” “One Step Closer,” “Time Again”—as well as cherished video-era and bonus cuts like “Ride Easy,” “Video Killed The Radio Star,” “The Heat Goes On,” and “Daylight” (video exclusive).

Geoff Downes commented: “‘Heat Of The Moment’ has an interesting story behind it. It was actually the final track John and I wrote for the ASIA album, and it ended up being the opening track and lead-off single. We threw it together in one afternoon. I had the verse, John had the chorus, although this was a guitar picking country-style piece in 3/4 time. We straightened it all out and bingo, there it was! A couple of days later we wrote the middle 8 section, rehearsed it in the studio and recorded it straight down with band. Ironically, it still remains our most famous track to this day. Without it, I doubt the album would have been as big as it was, so I am very grateful to have been a part of the creation of ‘Heat Of The Moment’. It’s still a really fun track to play live, and I hope it will bring back memories, and give pleasure to the listeners and fans all over the world for many years to come”.

“Asia – Live In England” track listing:

01. Heat Of The Moment
02. Only Time Will Tell
03. Sole Survivor
04. One Step Closer
05. Time Again
06. Wildest Dreams
07. Without You
08. Cutting It Fine
