Swedish powerhouses of symphonic metal, Eleine, are set to release their new creation, a wonderfully crafted EP, titled “We Stand United”, on September 5th via Reigning Phoenix Music and we had the pleasure of hearing it first. Having followed Eleine´s path throughout their years in the metal industry, this EP was an extremely pleasant surprise and I was thrilled to dive into the band’s intricate world. With Madeline Liljestam´s voice having followed me in my own influences and music journey, it’s safe to say that she absolutely has a one-of-a-kind, symphonically crafted vocal style. This offering includes five tracks, each crafted with precision and the band’s signature sound, yet fresh notes. So, we embark on the journey of “We Stand United” with the intro piece “Towards the Fields” – wonderful, powerful and very Eleine, this is definitely a strong beginning to the album. The self-titled track, “We Stand United“, blares next, an anthem, showcasing the band’s strong bond with their fan base. It’s always emotional to see bands writing about their fans and Eleine do it with such grace and power, that it brings tears to our eyes. Next two tracks are live performances of “Never Forget” (the single that was first released) and “We Are Legion” at Masters Of Rock 2024, two powerful versions of full force live energy. Last but definitely not least, the album closes out with a symphonic version of one of my favorite tracks “Promise of Apocalypse”. Gorgeous vocals that soar over the intricate instruments and the symphonic element that made me fall in love with Eleine even in the beginning, it’s a masterpiece of a closer. This band I will definitely keep an eye on and would be extremely happy to catch down the road at some point.

There must be an undying source of inspiration, creativity and endurance where Swedish metal institution ELEINE originate from. How else would you explain non-stop touring – including their 2024/2025 debut headline run – and releasing four full-length albums, two electric and even an acoustic EP since their foundation in 2014? While they’re working on studio album no. 5, ELEINE didn’t want to let their fellowship wait even longer and therefore announce the release of a brand new EP today. Rewarding those without the band wouldn’t be what it is today – their endlessly supportive fan base – the Swedish outfit will put out “We Stand United” on September 5, 2025 via Reigning Phoenix Music, concurring with the first date of the “Domination” European tour which will see ELEINE enter the stages as special guests to German metal commandos PRIMAL FEAR.

The EP will comprise five tracks, featuring two unheard pieces: an intro called ‘Towards The Fields’ as well as its title song, a future live favourite cementing the massive bonding between both band and fans, which makes the limited CD and vinyl versions of “We Stand United” a must-add to every ELEINE collection.

The self-produced offering was recorded at Studio Bohus in Kungälv, Sweden before ELEINE handed the new material to trusted mixing/mastering engineer Thomas “Plec” Johansson (The Panic Room Studio). Finally layouted by Madeleine, the EP’s artwork was crafted by the band’s long-time partner Nestor Avalos alongside the front-woman.

Despite delivering brand new music, an unknown live recording is leading the way to the release of “We Stand United,” which once again refers to the special connection between ELEINE and their supporters.

Original members Madeleine Liljestam (vocals) and Rikard Ekberg (guitars, vocals) state: “To introduce you to our upcoming EP we chose this one live track as the first single. We feel it represents us and presents ELEINE in a setting we love and one we do very well: PERFORMING LIVE! This is ‘Never Forget’ live from Masters of Rock 2024 in the Czech Republic, and although we had just slept 1-2 hours, scorching hot sun and 50°C (122°F) on stage – we had a great show with an amazing crowd at one of the best festivals out there. We are also rising from a rough start of 2025, and we are reclaiming our lives that truly felt like under the darkest of skies. The scars are present, but ELEINE is and will always remain – alongside with our dedicated and loyal fans!”.

Eleine release official video for ‘Suffering’ and digital 2-track single incl. instrumental version; 2024 “We Shall Remain” European tour announced.

Almost a year after its release, the fourth studio album by Swedish symphonic dark metal sensation ELEINE, “We Shall Remain,” is still on everyone’s lips, being filled with songs to die for!

The indefatigable five-piece unveil the official video for the track ‘Suffering’ which incorporates huge melodies, crushing riffs, an insane vocal range and orchestral grandeur. The digital version of the single comes with a previously unheard instrumental version as second track.

Vocalist Madeleine Liljestam and guitarist/vocalist Rikard Ekberg explain the profound meaning of the song, “Life is never easy and sometimes it forces you to push forward even when you see no reason to. Your own mind is beating you down and tearing you apart, repeating the past that leaves you in an endless loop of hopelessness and pain. But… you don’t give up. You start facing your fears which leaves you torn between staying in a place you know but is destroying you or go towards something unexplored that may or may not give you strength. Eventually you reach a point where you see your old self from the other side. That’s when you know you survived.”
