Agustín Nevaris, the well-respected percussionist and composer, has released another single from the “SoundSession” EP, called “Remedy – Live”. This track, recorded live at Orange Studios almost three years ago, captures the beauty of musicians simply playing together in the same room, without tricks, overdubs, edits or second chances. You can feel that immediacy from the very first seconds. The groove is deep and hypnotic. Built on a strong bass foundation inspired by Bill Laswell, the track slowly unfolds into a rich mix of dub, jazz and Afro-Latin rhythms. It doesn’t rush anywhere. Instead, it breathes. Each instrument has space to exist, creating a layered but very natural sound. You can tell that these musicians know each other well. The transitions feel smooth, almost telepathic. The percussion drives the track forward, while subtle keys and saxophone lines add color and atmosphere. There’s also a strong dub influence in the way the sound expands and echoes, giving it a slightly psychedelic edge. Another important element is the energy of the live recording. You can almost picture the room, the musicians reacting to each other in real time. That human connection is something many modern recordings miss, and it makes this track feel alive. At times, “Remedy – Live” feels meditative, almost like a slow journey inward. But it never becomes boring. Jah Wobble is back with a heavy groove and deep history on his latest track “Dub In The East”, the new single from his upcoming solo album “Dub Volume 1”. As always, Wobble delivers that signature deep, hypnotic bass sound, but this time it’s soaked in the vibes of his East London roots — full of character, culture and rhythm. “Dub In The East” feels like a proper journey. It’s not just about the beat (which, by the way, is smooth and addictive), it’s also about telling a story — one that goes back generations. The track draws from the working-class life on the River Thames, Irish immigration and the raw, gritty energy of East London. There’s a real sense of place here, like you’re walking the same streets Wobble grew up on, hearing echoes of the past in the music. The production is tight and rich, with layers that slowly unfold — you’ll hear flickers of echo, touches of ambient sounds, and that classic dub space where instruments float in and out. Wobble plays everything himself, and it shows — every element feels intentional, yet loose enough to breathe. It’s got that Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry and King Tubby influence, but with a modern twist and plenty of personality. “Dub In The East” is a slice of musical history and a deep nod to Wobble’s roots. Taken from his forthcoming album “Dub Volume 1” (out July 18 via Dimple Discs), this track marks a significant return to stripped-down, fully self-produced dub music, showcasing Wobble’s enduring vitality as a craftsman and an emotive artist … This is experimental music at its purest and most sincere. The heavy, reverberating basslines that Wobble pioneered in the post-punk crucible of the late ’70s are present in full force—earthy, hypnotic, and unrelenting. There is a delicate warmth here but also a sad feeling, making this song a melancholic, quiet elegy pulsing beneath the surface of the mix. Beautiful melodic loops and motifs, the avant-garde use of the keyboards and the otherworldly basslines evoke a private, soulful meditation and bring the worlds of experimental music and dub closer. The track is minimal but never empty.
