THE POWER OF 3: ALL-FEMALE SUPERGROUP ANNOUNCES DEBUT ALBUM

THE POWER OF 3, a powerhouse new trio featuring acclaimed singer-guitarist Orianthi, drummer Cindy Blackman Santana, and bassist Rhonda Smith, have announced their self-titled debut album, along with the release of their debut double single, “War In The Streets” b/w “Treat Me Like A Lady”, which is available now on all major streaming platforms.

The album is set for release on December 11 via She2Music and was produced by legendary producer Eddie Kramer, whose credits include Jimi Hendrix, David Bowie, KISS and THE ROLLING STONES. It will also feature a special guest appearance by Carlos Santana.

Recorded entirely in analog, the album captures the raw energy and natural chemistry of three world-class musicians. Together, their impressive careers have included collaborations with major artists such as Michael Jackson, Prince, Jeff Beck, Alice Cooper, Beyoncé, Lenny Kravitz, Santana and Pharoah Sanders.

Lead single “War In The Streets” stands as one of THE POWER OF 3’s most powerful statements to date. The energetic track serves as a call for unity during a period marked by unrest and division. Built around a driving rock groove and featuring a fiery guitar solo from Orianthi, the song reflects the turbulence of the present while delivering a strong message about coming together.

The chorus was written by Mark Davis, owner of the Las Vegas Raiders and a longtime supporter of the band, while THE POWER OF 3 composed the verses and music. The song was then developed further in the studio with producer Eddie Kramer.

The double single is completed by “Treat Me Like A Lady”, a groove-driven and feel-good track powered by Rhonda Smith’s bouncing, Motown-inspired bass line. Sensual, playful and empowering, the song highlights the trio’s soulful side while showcasing the confidence, chemistry and musical power of three highly accomplished musicians.

The origins of THE POWER OF 3 date back several years, when Raiders owner Mark Davis encouraged Orianthi to put together a power trio inspired by BAND OF GYPSYS. Orianthi brought in acclaimed drummer Cindy Blackman Santana, known for her work with Carlos Santana, Lenny Kravitz and Pharoah Sanders, and the two then recruited bassist Rhonda Smith. Smith’s impressive career includes collaborations with Prince, Jeff Beck and Beyoncé, while she currently performs with THE CLETONES, the house band of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

THE POWER OF 3 have already taken the stage twice at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, most recently performing ahead of the Raiders-Cowboys game last November. The trio is now gearing up to take their powerful new project to audiences around the world.

“I know people all over the world want to see us,” said Orianthi. “And we can’t wait. It’ll be so much fun to get out there. Playing together with Cindy and Rhonda, this is like a powerhouse. It’s not just me… this is a real band.”

MERCYFUL FATE: ANNOUNCE FIRST SHOW IN MORE THAN 3 YEARS

MERCYFUL FATE has announced its first live performance in more than three years.

The legendary heavy metal band, whose most recent performance took place at Brazil’s Summer Breeze festival in April 2024, is set to make its long-awaited return to the stage at the Leyendas Del Rock festival. The event will be held August 11–14, 2027, in Villena, Alicante, Spain.

MERCYFUL FATE announced the concert on August 6, via social media, writing: “España! MERCYFUL FATE will be playing Leyendas Del Rock Festival 2027! We will see you next August… Stay Heavy!”.

The current MERCYFUL FATE lineup features King Diamond on vocals, Hank Shermann and Mike Wead on guitars, Bjarne T. Holm behind the drums, and Becky Baldwin on bass.

Becky Baldwin officially became a member of MERCYFUL FATE in January 2024. The Birmingham, England-based bassist had previously toured with the band during its fall 2022 run, stepping in for Joey Vera, who was unable to participate due to scheduling commitments with his longtime band, ARMORED SAINT.

Meanwhile, MERCYFUL FATE continues work on its long-awaited new studio album. Fans first got a preview of the upcoming material in June 2022, when the band debuted the track “The Jackal Of Salzburg” during a performance in Germany, later playing it again at Psycho Las Vegas.

10CC: ANNOUNCE NEW FEBRUARY/MARCH 2027 TOUR

Following the success of their sold-out tour this year, which concluded with a fully booked performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall seven months ahead of the event, 10CC will return to the road in March 2027 with their “And Another Bloody Greatest Hits Tour”.

The tour received some of the most enthusiastic reviews of the band’s live career to date, including high praise from The Guardian for the opening night at York Barbican and a perfect five-star review from the Mail On Sunday for their performance at the Royal Albert Hall.

Led by 10CC co-founder Graham Gouldman, the band’s continued rise in popularity has resulted in sold-out shows at major venues across Europe and around the world, with recent performances reaching cities from Amsterdam and Stockholm to Auckland and Sydney, as well as special appearances in Gibraltar and Iceland.

In recognition of his outstanding contribution to music, Gouldman was awarded an MBE in the 2025 King’s Birthday Honours List.

Fans can look forward to a career-spanning setlist packed with classic hits, featuring timeless favorites such as “Rubber Bullets”, “Donna”, “Art For Art’s Sake”, “Dreadlock Holiday”, “The Wall Street Shuffle”, “Life Is A Minestrone”, “The Things We Do For Love” and, of course, the unforgettable “I’m Not In Love”.

TAILGUNNER: PARTED WAYS WITH BASSIST DUE TO RECENT ALLEGATIONS

Due to undisclosed circumstances, heavy metal collective Tailgunner and bassist Thomas Hewson have decided to part ways.

Tailgunner has made the following announcement in its social media:

“Tailgunner have been made aware of the recent allegations against Thomas. While he denies all wrongdoing, he will be stepping back from the band while this situation is properly addressed. We as a band take this matter very seriously and we approach it responsibly and respectfully towards everyone involved”.

No additional public details surrounding the allegations have been disclosed, and the band have yet to confirm whether their upcoming live shows, festival appearances, or recording plans will be affected going forward.

RIVERSIDE: MARIUSZ DUDA LEAVES THE BAND!

Riverside founding bassist and vocalist Mariusz Duda announced his departure from Riverside, citing internal tensions. Surely, Riverside is facing an uncertain future after this. Whether that marks the end of the band is still uncertain, but one thing is clear — Duda was far from pleased.

This is Duda’s statement on his social media:

“Dear Everyone,

I would like to officially announce that, after 25 years, my journey with Riverside is coming to an end.

I am proud of everything this band has achieved over the years. But most of all, I am proud of the incredible and extraordinarily loyal fans we have gathered around us. Thank you for everything.

Unfortunately, the current situation within the band no longer allows me to pursue my main passion there, the passion to create new music. And that has always been my primary life goal and priority. On top of that, I am tired of pretending and forcing a smiling band image which, in recent years, has had nothing to do with reality.

Those who know me are aware that what I feel and what happens in my life usually finds its way into my lyrics. It was no different with my latest album, “The World Under Unsun”. In truth, it is not about the end of the story of Lunatic Soul. And the act of leaving a toxic relationship does not concern “romantic relationships.” The main inspiration was the situation within the band, and the track “The New End” was written primarily as a farewell to Riverside fans. The emotions in that song, which were difficult to control, speak for themselves.

am glad that I can finally say this out loud.

So, without going into details, I would like to announce that, although I remain on good terms with most of the members of Riverside, from now on, over the coming years, I will be focusing primarily on my work in Lunatic Soul and my side projects.

As for Riverside, I do not see any possibility of the band continuing in its current line-up. And restarting it with a different one would be extremely complicated.

That is why I am shifting my creative energy to Lunatic Soul, which will soon enter a new phase and become my main studio and live project.

I can understand the sadness and disappointment. But I see nothing wrong with, at a certain point in life, simply starting to put your own needs first and no longer allowing yourself to be taken advantage of. In a world where everyone pretends to be someone else, it is worth finally being yourself and surrounding yourself with people who truly care about you.

Thank you for your support and understanding. My warmest regards to those who will continue to keep me company in my future musical plans.

Rage has canceled their South American tour due to “circusmstances behind the scenes”.

The German metal band has posted the following announcement on its official Facebook page:

“Dear Rageheads,
with a very heavy heart we have to cancel our planned South America Tour.
Despite the fact that the ticket sales are amazing and some of the shows are almost sold out, unfortunately we are facing circumstances behind the scenes that have taken away the possibility to hit the road and come over to your beautiful countries. For months and months we tried our very best to make it work out, but unfortunately it didn’t.
It is the local promoters’ responsibility to refund your tickets and we hope you will get that service right away.
Let’s stay healthy and well and we hope our paths will cross sometime in the future.

Cobra Spell have announced that they go on an indefinite hiatus, completely stopping their musical activity (including all shows planned for 2026).

The heavy metal band from Tilburg posted the following on their official social media:

“Dear fans,
Today we have to share some news with you that fills our hearts with sadness.
After a long period of reflection, as a band we have reached a point of no return that leads us to completely stop our musical activity (including all shows planned for 2026).
The core and backbone of the project needs to pause, and we believe that the best way to go through this moment is to put Cobra Spell on an indefinite hiatus.
We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all these years — If we have been able to create music, tour, and live unforgettable experiences, it has been largely thanks to you.
From the very first day Cobra Spell existed until today, every word, every message, every gesture of support and every smile we saw in front of the stage made this entire journey truly worth it.
We would like to deeply thank everyone in the industry who has accompanied us along the way — promoters, venues, technical crews, media, managers, photographers, and all the bands we had the chance to share the stage with.
We want to thank each and every musician who has been part of the band at some point throughout this journey.

George Harris, son of IRON MAIDEN bassist Steve Harris, has revealed that the upcoming THE RAVEN AGE tour will be his final one with the U.K. melodic metal band.

George, who founded THE RAVEN AGE in 2009 alongside guitarist Dan Wright, shared the news earlier today (Saturday, November 15) in a statement posted on the band’s social media:

“Hi TRA fans,

“This is a tough one to write, but I wanted to be honest with you all and let you know what’s been going on with me and the band.
Our upcoming ‘Monarchy Tour’ in the UK at the end of this month will be my last time playing live with TRA. Even just typing that feels strange. I’ve lived and breathed this band for so many years, and it’s been such a huge part of my life. I started TRA with Dan back in my late teens/early twenties and have poured my heart and soul into making it work ever since.

“What most people don’t know is that I’ve been dealing with a health issue for just over six years now that’s made playing guitar really difficult. I first noticed it on tour in 2019, at first I thought I just needed more practice or focus but after a while, it became clear it was something physical. Over time it’s just become worse, to the point where every time I pick up a guitar it feels more like a fight than the thing I used to love doing most.
For a long time, I really found that hard to deal with. I’ve tried everything over the years to fix it… physio, rest, treatments, therapy, even surgery to move a nerve but unfortunately, nothing’s worked.

“I didn’t want to just post one of those ‘unforeseen circumstances’ statements because I think you guys deserve the truth. So yeah, I’ve made the really hard decision to stop playing live. The band will carry on with someone else on guitar, and I’ll be right there supporting them. I’ll still be working behind the scenes with the lads on writing, recording, and keeping TRA moving forward. Luckily most of my writing comes from my head and not my hands, so that side of things isn’t going anywhere.

“To the boys in the band and the crew….thank you for everything. The shows, the laughs and the madness.. Sharing the stage with you all has been one of the best things I’ve ever done, and I’ll miss it immensely. Thank you to Dan for initiating the weekly Wednesday evening jam session all those years ago which accidentally snowballed into us being signed to a major record label and catapulted us into becoming a touring band. But honestly, I’m actually looking forward to standing in the crowd for once and watching the boys smash it from the other side. Thanks for all the support over the years!

“See you all one last time on the ‘Monarchy Tour’ in a couple weeks. Let’s make it count.”

THE RAVEN AGE’s November headline run, titled “The Monarchy Tour – A Decade Of The Raven King”, will span six shows, kicking off in Southampton on November 25 and wrapping up at London’s Islington Assembly Hall on November 30. EMPYRE will join the entire tour as special guests.

KREATOR: ANNOUNCED NEW ALBUM

German thrash metal veterans KREATOR are set to unleash their sixteenth studio album, “Krushers Of The World”, on January 16, 2026, through Nuclear Blast Records.

KREATOR tracked their upcoming album “Krushers Of The World” at Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden, once again teaming up with renowned producer Jens Bogren, who previously worked with the band on “Phantom Antichrist” (2012) and “Gods Of Violence” (2017).

Coming hot on the heels of the recent documentary “Hate & Hope” and Mille Petrozza’s autobiography “Your Heaven, My Hell”, this new record marks the next chapter in KREATOR’s unstoppable evolution. More than four decades into their career, the band remains at full strength, still pushing boundaries and commanding global stages.

The title “Krushers Of The World” is bold and unapologetic — a declaration of pride, resilience, and the unbreakable spirit forged through decades of heavy metal triumphs and struggles.
