Iron Savior returns "In the Realm of Heavy Metal " in new single and video off upcoming album, "Firestar".

German power metal frontrunners, IRON SAVIOR, have announced the release of their new studio album, titled "Firestar", for October 6, 2023 via AFM Records.

Following previously-released songs, "Through the Fires of Hell" and the blistering, fast-paced album title track, today, IRON SAVIOR are premiering a music video for their new single "In the Realm of Heavy Metal".

IRON SAVIOR's upcoming album will feature a wide range of influences from hard rock to pop, all calibrated to heavy metal trademark the band is known and loved for. But sometimes pure coincidence or seemingly inconspicuous little details can turn a very good album into an outstanding release. In the case of Firestar, it has come as a real surprise even for Sielck that the new songs surpass the material of the impressive 2020-album Skycrest. In fact, the cornerstones of the current offering were already set and pointed to a successful production within the tried and tested framework, when all of a sudden everything turned out rather differently: “Just before the recordings were finalised, I was inspired by the muse, totally of the blue. I wrote two more songs out of nowhere and changed a third one on the spur of the moment. And suddenly, ‘Firestar’ turned into an even better record,” says Sielck happily, admitting that this unexpected creative surge “triggered great emotions” in him. "In the Realm of Heavy Metal" was one of these tracks.

IRON SAVIOR have again come up with an exceptional studio album in Firestar, enhanced by Felipe Machado Franco’s impressive cover artwork presenting the band's mighty spaceship that has been around since 2011. The cherry on the cake is the powerful production courtesy of Hamburg’s Powerhouse Studio, including intelligently positioned keyboard parts and the anthemic background choirs, supported by Sielck’s 17-year-old daughter Frida and her boyfriend. Without any doubt, Firestar promises to be a bonfire in many respects!

Dokken is coming back with a new album! The American hard rockers have announced their 13th full-length studio album, "Heaven Comes Down", out on October 27, 2023, via Silver Lining Music. This new album was produced by Bill Palmer and Don Dokken and was mixed by Kevin Shirley (Aerosmith, Iron Maiden). The legendary band's new single is "Fugitive".

Don Dokken comments: "The long anticipated new Dokken album, 'Heaven Comes Down', is finally done and the first single is titled 'Fugitive'. The inspiration for the lyrics came from what seems to me to be an uncertain world these days. It's an up-tempo Rokker as are many on the album. I don't know what the future holds for our world, so I decided to take a step back and watch it all unfold… Yes, I guess I've become like many these days a fugitive from life. Hence the title!" ... "The song rocks and the lyrics are self-explanatory. Like many songs I've written, it came to me late at night. Inspiration and pure stream of consciousness have always been the best formula for me when composing. It has that classic Dokken sound… A great song to blast when driving down the highway".

The "Fugitive" video was directed by Chris Eyre ("Dark Winds", "Smoke Signals") and was filmed at the popular immersive arts venture Meow Wolf in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Track listing:

01. Fugitive
02. Gypsy
03. Is It Me Or You?
04. Just Like A Rose
05. I'll Never Give Up
06. Saving Grace
07. Over The Mountain
08. I Remember
09. Lost In You
10. Santa Fe

New Wishbone Ash live album "Live Dates Live" out on 29 September 2023. Extensive tour starts on September 01st in the UK.

Almost fifty years ago to the month, British rock band Wishbone Ash brought out ‘Live Dates’, their most commercially successful album. A milestone, not only for the band, but also in the history of rock music. “At the time, we had been on tour non-stop for three years, had released ‘Argus’ – from today’s point of view our most important studio album – and were like a well-oiled machine,” remembers founder Andy Powell, who continues to helm the group. “We had made a name for ourselves as a dynamic live act, so it only made sense to capture the energy and vibrancy of our shows on a live album. Fortunately, the record company funded the costly Rolling Stones Mobile Recording Truck, so we were able to record several shows during our UK tour and compile the most powerful moments on ‘Live Dates’.”

Fast forward half a century and we find ourselves in the summer of 2023, with Wishbone Ash celebrating the anniversary of their 1973 concert classic with a new edition. “New” meaning: the same material in exactly the same sequence, performed by the current line-up and recorded at Daryl’s House Club in Pawling, New York. The new release is entitled ‘Live Dates Live’ and will be available on CD, vinyl double LP and for digital download on Steamhammer/SPV from 29 September 2023. Andy Powell: “‘Live Dates Live’ is our tribute to the original and our thank-you to all those fans who have been instrumental in making Wishbone Ash one of the few bands from the early seventies who are still active today, who still record new albums and tour on a regular basis.”

Of course, Wishbone Ash mark 2023 has little in common with the 1973 line-up. Or do they? After all, guitarist/vocalist Andy Powell still keeps a tight hold of the musical reins. In addition, guitarist Mark Abrahams, bassist Bob Skeat and drummer Mike Truscott are first-rate musicians, some of whom may be a lot younger, but ooze the original spirit and philosophy of this outstanding band.

Tracklisting:

1. The King Will Come

2. Warrior

3. Throw Down The Sword
4. Rock n Roll Widow

5. Ballad Of The Beacon
6. Baby What You Want Me To Do

7. The Pilgrim
8. Blowin’ Free

9. Jailbait
10. Lady Whiskey

11. Phoenix

The new live album "Live Dates Live" will be released on September 29th, 2023 worldwide through SPV/Steamhammer as CD digipak, 2LP gatefolddownload and stream: https://WishboneAsh.lnk.to/LiveDatesLive

Theocracy joined Atomic Fire Records family and will release its fifth studio album later this year (2023).

Atomic Fire Records is massively proud to join forces with Athens, Georgia based progressive power metal five-piece THEOCRACY. Formed in 2002 to spread their majestic metal in the likes of STRATOVARIOUS, SONATA ARCTICA and SYMPHONY-X, THEOCRACY released four critically acclaimed studio albums, building a loyal fanbase as well. Now teaming up with Atomic Fire Records, the band consisting of Matt Smith (lead/backing vocals), Ernie Topran (drums), Jared Oldham (bass/backing vocals), Jonathan Hinds (guitars/backing vocals) and Taylor Washington (guitars/backing vocals) are more than ready to take THEOCRACY to the next level.

Vocalist Matt Smith comments, "We are thrilled to be members of the Atomic Fire Records family. From our first meeting, it was obvious that they've loved and supported our music for many years, long before there was a possibility we might work together. This personal touch was very important to us, and combined with their impressive roster featuring some of our favourite bands, we are so excited to work together for this new album release and beyond!"

Atomic Fire Records A&R Markus Wosgien enthuses, "We're more than happy to welcome THEOCRACY to the Atomic Fire Records family! With their latest album »Ghost Ship,« the band created a milestone in power/progressive metal history and I remember very well that I had the CD on endless rotation in my car for several years - and it keeps blowing me away. It's just one of those records which you'd pick for a trip to a lonely island, it's an album that recalls why one has become a metalhead: Because such tunes make addicted, one needs to sing along to them, and they fulfill our hearts. With their upcoming new album, THEOCRACY have taken it all another step further and have reached a new level, without repeating themselves but with adding more diversity to their sound. The world stands in awe of an album full of hymns, beauty and pure magic once again.

For more than 20 years, Matt Smith has been pouring his life blood into THEOCRACY, creating a legacy and back catalogue that grants him a safe space to breathe and develop his vision.

"It's my life's work," says Smith. "All I wanted to do since I was a kid was writing songs, so THEOCRACY existed in my mind for many years before the first album. It's the vehicle that has taken me all around the world and allowed me to exceed my wildest dreams by getting my songs out, and I am so thankful."

THEOCRACY's fifth studio album will see the light of the day later this year.

THEOCRACY are:
Matt Smith | vocals
Jonathan Hinds | guitars
Taylor Washington | guitars
